Big Hurts
Admin: I’m afraid all these injuries are going to sour me on NFL football.
Spence: Are you saying this because you’re a Patriots fan and Rob Gronkowski got hurt (again!) last night?
Admin: So? Are you saying one can’t believe the right things for the wrong reasons?

Greetings!
Congratulations to all the auction winners! Excellent work by Rio and Luna as always!
Martha: Good thoughts coming at you! Will you run the Boston Marathon now that you will have a brand new knee? :^)
Royal Mum: So glad to know that The Storyteller is on the fast lane to tip-top!
Today’s GOOGLE doodle honors Lucy Maud Montgomery.
Create a good day!
9:05 am on November 30th, 2015
Good morning Wose and all!
I think the world is full of people who think that way, Spence.
Wisconsin is going to be much the sparklier because of an auction item I was lucky to get! I will share the wealth with anyone who wants it.
9:11 am on November 30th, 2015
Imagine…soured on football….
Good morning all.
9:14 am on November 30th, 2015
Oh, and good luck to you today, Martha! We’ll be thinking positive thoughts.
Besides the sparkly duct tape, I amassed several…well more than several…other treasures. I would detail all of them, but I would appear greedy. They do include chicken potholders and Pink Panther salt and pepper shakers. And other wonderful items I will probably talk about eventually.
10:09 am on November 30th, 2015
Good Morning Everyone, and Good Thoughts going to Martha, who will soon be running with the best of them.
Linda Lurker: We envy you your Sparkly Pink Treasures.
B: But not for long we betcha.
Wose: Thanks for the DOODLE Tip ‘O the Day.
10:11 am on November 30th, 2015
Good morning. And best of luck to Martha.
10:13 am on November 30th, 2015
So Linda, you are the one who out-bid mom. Since she does not have the sparkly duct tape, she will be in a very bad mood.
10:19 am on November 30th, 2015
I know where I can get more sparkly pink duct tape. Or, since there are two rolls Maybe you two could share? Heh heh heh
When I saw that duct tape at the hardware store near to my parents home I just KNEW I had to buy it. And yes. I did try to frame the Thieves. They are so easy to frame being the way they are. Sorry Pancho and Lefty! (But not very sorry)
10:26 am on November 30th, 2015
With the Storyteller’s refurbished back and Martha’s new knee, we have our teams for the wheelchair races!
Staff: Being the way we are? You mean lovable and miscreants at the same time, no?
10:30 am on November 30th, 2015
Staff and HOH: I could be persuaded to share that tape.
10:45 am on November 30th, 2015
Good late morning all.
Martha – positive thoughts to you.
Good job with the auction and boutique, Luna & Rio.
Admin: we agree. Um…Andrew Luck. We know, no love lost from a Pats’ fan and “it was his fault”, but still…a lacerated organ because of football??
10:51 am on November 30th, 2015
Good morning. We agree with Bee on the football issue….and baseball, too.
Rio, regarding your chicken comment from last night – if I could have chickens I would have the perfect eco system. All my kitchen scraps could be fed to them, and in return they would product delicious eggs. As a bonus, their composted poop could be added to my vegetable garden, completing the circle of life. Three or four hens would make me very happy.
11:12 am on November 30th, 2015
It’s hard to Imagine a Chicken Lady without chickens. Awwwk!

The general public usually opines that the day of gladiators was barbaric.
Then they buy tickets to watch football players, boxers, hockey players etc. beat each other up.
….sigh….
Well, the Storyteller just called and asked for:
a cup of “real” coffee,
his cell phone,
a hairbrush, and
Gilly.
We think he is feeling better.
12:14 pm on November 30th, 2015
Glad to hear it T & G. Do you know how long he will be in rehab before coming home?
Hope Martha is doing well this morning.
Just ordered two subscriptions for Ranger Rick. Now gift shopping is almost complete. YAY!
12:44 pm on November 30th, 2015
Royals: Did he ask for us?
1:21 pm on November 30th, 2015
I’m glad the Storyteller is feeling better.
1:29 pm on November 30th, 2015
WhoooHooo for the Storyteller!!
1:31 pm on November 30th, 2015
Football! Spit!
Computer problems this morning. I’m out the door for now, having added up only part of my owe-ings to Snowhook. Heh! Later, gators.
Thinking of Martha and the Storyteller as I go about my merry way.
1:39 pm on November 30th, 2015
My check is in the mail. Easy to figure, since I only got one item!
1:53 pm on November 30th, 2015
Injury to Gronk not season-ending, maybe only a game or two.
2:12 pm on November 30th, 2015
Fortunately, I got a hold of my dad’s credit card right before the auction closed and made quite a haul. I got the striped onyx horse and the dog box frame. I also got something my dad wanted although I can’t figure out what he might possibly want it for — the 11×14 portrait gift certificate. Forgot to bid on the sparkly duct tape though.
2:14 pm on November 30th, 2015
Oh, and I hope poor little Beau did not injure his paws doing a dance after the Broncos knocked off those pesky Patriots in overtime.
2:32 pm on November 30th, 2015
Thieves – the Storyteller did not ask for you. He did not ask for us either. He asked for Gilly.
Obviously he is still not in his right mind.
Harrumph.
2:55 pm on November 30th, 2015
Teddy RR: I think I know why your dad wanted that portrait certificate…. ;^)
Basil and Sage: The nerve of the Storyteller, eh?
3:34 pm on November 30th, 2015
Teddy RR, I guess that portrait will be of you instead of that dog that lives with me (Howie). Mom actually got to go to the Texans football game yesterday with one of her nephews and his wife. She had a blast, but she likes football! It kept her from last minute bidding.

Herbs: even with Gilly’s broken off switch? Maybe we better tag along to make sure she doesn’t get out of paw. Plus, we’d like to finalize race strategy.
3:48 pm on November 30th, 2015
Thieves! Best Youse Hurry…the Storyteller will be Walking by the time youse get those Wheelchairs lined up for the Big Race. Heh, heh.
3:49 pm on November 30th, 2015
Dear Thieves – whatever do you mean “broken ‘off’ switch” Nothing broken about me. No sirree bob. I am perfect and wonderful and loud and exuberant and my tail works twice as hard as the rest of me.
I went to the Rehab to see my daddy, and I got on the bed with him, and guess what? A nurse came running. Just to see me! Or maybe it was cuz I was sitting on the call bell.
Naw…she just wanted to see who the cutest Corgi in the room was. And it was ME ME ME!
3:55 pm on November 30th, 2015
Good for the Storyteller and Gilly the Wiggler!
5:04 pm on November 30th, 2015
Gilly: You must be a Very Special Dog to be allowed into see the Storyteller.
5:05 pm on November 30th, 2015
A Therapy Dog perhaps?
5:12 pm on November 30th, 2015
I always tell people that don’t know English Shepherds that they are like B.Collies with an off switch. Sounds like Gilly Flower doesn’t have one of those.
Teddy will make an excellent subject for that portrait. I think that might be what his Dad has in mind.
I am listening to Christmas music and making a big mess, er, I mean, wrapping presents.
Time to stop and make kibble dinners topped with delicious turkey flavored oatmeal. Yum! Then maybe a strengthening cocktail will be on the agenda.
5:17 pm on November 30th, 2015
Someone here may be joining youse in a strengthening cocktail soon.
5:47 pm on November 30th, 2015
B,M,&L: Please have a strengthening cocktail for me. :^)
6:55 pm on November 30th, 2015
OK, Wose, just for you! I will have one for each of us. LOL
What ever happened with your testing? Did you have memory damage from the lightening bolts?
7:24 pm on November 30th, 2015
Barb: I spoke to the neuropsych this afternoon. A formal report will be sent to me via mail, but basically, my visual ability is bad. I have always felt that my hand eye coordination was not good, but it is now at the point that I could not even copy the drawing that was shown to me during the testing. It was a drawing that a 10 year-old would be able to copy. It was even worse when I was asked to draw it with colored pencils. I used to draw every once in a while, I am by no means an artist, but this is disturbing to me because everyone from Grizz to my psych have been telling me that I should draw to keep busy during the day, but I doubt that I would be able to do even simple drawings. I can retain information, but I can not effectively process information. My autobiographical information was not assessed. My long term memory loss may have been affected by the ECT, but the neuropsych also said that this happens in patients with depression. So, in that respect, I’ve hit a double.
Even though I was kind of expecting these results, I am upset. I am scheduled to go back to see my neurologist on 12/31, so I am sure he will go over this with me and Grizz in greater detail.

BooBear: When your mom turns the 2016 Plunder On! calendar to the July page, close your eyes. Howie, that dog that lives in your house is featured on that page, along with Ms. Pretty.
Wondering if Diane C. is okay. I haven’t seen any recent posts from her.
7:36 pm on November 30th, 2015
Gilly: Our Lady says when she met youse, she suspected you might take flight with the wiggle-waggle of your hind quarters such was its speed. She claims to have picked you up, flip you over to see if there was a speed control or a place for batteries.
7:42 pm on November 30th, 2015
Wose, that is a lot to process. Thank you for sharing. Are there any treatments that can reverse these things? I know nothing about any of this.
7:53 pm on November 30th, 2015
Rose, I am blurring there in a few…tell the Prof to set up.
8:02 pm on November 30th, 2015
Barb: I don’t think there is anything that can reverse what damage has been done. Hopefully, there will be no further progression.
My dearest Masquers: The key is under the mat. Grizz has been practicing his harmonica of late.
8:14 pm on November 30th, 2015
Dear Wose, My thoughts are with you as you process all this information. Trying to know what is best for yourself is hard.
8:16 pm on November 30th, 2015
Staff: Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts.
8:46 pm on November 30th, 2015
My brother’s brother-in-law is the only person to own a Wose original…this is what I used to do.
8:47 pm on November 30th, 2015
In case you can’t tell, that is Tiger Woods.
8:55 pm on November 30th, 2015
Masquers and Grizz are warming up…punching out.
See youse in December!
8:59 pm on November 30th, 2015
Wose – if there is art in your soul, it will come through your fingertips. It may not be the same art that you used to do, but then again, you aren’t the same person you were before. So let the art come – and appreciate it for what it is, not for what it isn’t.
Cuz we appreciate YOU for who you are – now and always
Thieves – oh, if only your Lady had found that well hidden switch……
9:17 pm on November 30th, 2015
Wose: I am not an artist either but your drawing of Tiger beats my stick figures all to he!!. Loving you for who you are.
I’m having another very early night.
9:30 pm on November 30th, 2015
After all this time and money, I’m almost finished with Dr. Choi (you know). So of course, my hip, which frequently was painful, has now made me unable to walk. Today was very interesting.
9:46 pm on November 30th, 2015
MP & LL MOM, get under the Quilt as quickly, or slowly, as you can!
Wose, You are an artist, and of course I can tell that drawing is Tiger. I could never do anything like that. I am very impressed with your talent.
9:49 pm on November 30th, 2015
Luna dropped me off at Wose’s so I can help katdog Masquers with Smooching duties.
10:06 pm on November 30th, 2015
Wose, the DDD looked at your drawing from across the room and said, “that’s Tiger Woods”. You ARE an artist!
10:07 pm on November 30th, 2015
Rose!…It is sad to hear that actual doctors perscribed that therapy which has done so much damage to your memory…sniffle!…I now know why my friend so dislikes going to the witch-doctor(s)…grunt!
10:10 pm on November 30th, 2015
Sad!…My friend is sad today..sniff!….She does not feel like she is in the right job or the right company right now…sniff!…She is feeling very unhappy about a lot of things and that makes me sad too…sniffle!..Beau did his best to cheer her up but in the end stunk up the room so bad that we all had to leave for a while…gasp! …I am not confessing to any part of any of the gas that was being released – not not me!…gurgle!
10:16 pm on November 30th, 2015
Rio: Leaving the room is like running. It only makes you look guilty.
10:23 pm on November 30th, 2015
Rio, I agree with your friend about doctors. Even tho my brother is a doc, my opinion is to stay away from them. You go in with a problem and they give you a drug to “fix” it. That is because most of us Americans want that. A drug to fix everything ASAP. But then, the drug creates another problem.
I take no drugs or meds and I am doing pretty well so far. I think that is why I chose to have no drugs delivering my children (nothing, nada). I wanted to control my body, and not let someone else be in control.

BML: I had my pups without any drugs, too. It’s the only way to go in my book.
10:38 pm on November 30th, 2015
Luna, When I was about 15, I watched my Welch Terrier, Sibby, give birth to 5 pups. That was in 1960. It seemed so natural and normal. Hard work, but she knew just what to do, and like you, she did it with no drugs. That event made a huge impact on me.
Later in life, I started thinking, if animals can do it and it is so natural, why is it treated like a disease in humans. That was the beginning of my rebellion against standard ob. procedures in 1970.
10:39 pm on November 30th, 2015
Barb!…You are my Hero!…snort!
10:43 pm on November 30th, 2015
Barb!….My friend wishes she was drug-less…but she has “issues” and allergies…so therefore…grump!…And this pisses her off big time in the whole wanna work-part-time dream because the health insurance coverage is not there for part-timers…sniff!..She feels like a stuck-pig in a mud puddle…grump!
10:45 pm on November 30th, 2015
BML: Followinf in your paw steps, I have refused to ever see an Ob.
10:48 pm on November 30th, 2015
Barb, you are doing darn good for someone who had knee surgery today. Did it really happen or did I mistake the day?
I take a lot of drugs. I would not be here without them. I am happy for those of you who do not need them but I am happy that they are there for me.
It is a hard decision. The drugs that lower my immune system make it possible for me to keep my transplanted kidney. They also make it easier to catch colds and the flu and to get cancer. Will I stop taking them. No.
I have to be very careful about what other things I take as they can interfere with the immune suppressent ones. Even certain OTC medicines are not good for me. Constant Vigilance and a little bit of paranoia are helpful.
Keiko just came to lay on my keyboard and I took this picture. It is carefully edited to not show my wattle.
Night all.

10:53 pm on November 30th, 2015
Staff!…We here are also very grateful for the drugs you take…snuffle!
10:55 pm on November 30th, 2015
Rio, I feel your pain over the part time vs full time dilemma. Maybe things will change in the future for employee benefits where they can just pick up the cost difference between full time and part time. That wold be more fair.
Luna, we are kindred spirits.
10:57 pm on November 30th, 2015
Gronk!..Injuries!…snort!…The Broncos beat the Pats last night without Peyton Manning as the quarterback…chuffle!…This says loads and loads about the state of the Pats team…heh!heh!…((sorry Spencer!)) …YARK!
11:02 pm on November 30th, 2015
Staff, You are VERY confused! I had knee surgery in Jan. 2013, not today. That would be Martha who had it this morning.
When I had surgery, I took drugs. If I were You, I would keep taking drugs, no doubt about it. If I had severe allergies, I would take something. I just don’t want to take them for little day to day things, that I feel like I can handle.
11:06 pm on November 30th, 2015
Martha!…Have we heard from Martha, or is she visiting those giraffes…snorkel!
11:07 pm on November 30th, 2015
BML: I have suspected as much for some time.
Staff: Like Rio, we are glad for all your pills and potions.
My Mam is sick of doctors and pills. She has a strong belief there are so many times in your life that you’d should be seen in something without the benefit of a backside. A couple months ago she had a procedure/test. When they called to cover some prep they told her she would have to undress for outpatient. She said, “I have modesty issues. I’m sure you can figure something out.” The nurse said no they could and my mama said the second sentence again. When AJ took her to the hospital the next morning the nurse started to give her the hospital gown, and then said, “well, it looks like you wore loose clothes.” She set the gown aside and left the silly hospital socks for my mama to which she said, “my socks will work fine”. She kept her Ugg-type boots on for good measure lest someone get the idea of stilling her socks. That’s my girl.
11:10 pm on November 30th, 2015
MollysMaw!…Oh No!..snort!..Will you have to have that hip surgery just like the Charming Mr. Abrahams had last year?…sniff!..I feel for you gal. I really do. Please keep us updated…wuffle!
11:12 pm on November 30th, 2015
We’ve had a third entrant for the wheelchair races. Iggy, the sled dog not Parson has been called up from the bull pen for this latest development.
11:13 pm on November 30th, 2015
Luna!…Clap!Clap!Clap! for your Mammie!…heh!heh!
11:15 pm on November 30th, 2015
Rio: Luna failed to mention that our Lady stayed wide awake through the first dose of giraffe juice and even the second dose. She must really like her socks. For the record, no one tried to steal them.
11:22 pm on November 30th, 2015
All I take is Vitamin E oil on my scars. Mom, however, is a medicine chest. She wishes it was not so, but these things keep her running.
If someone has LouLou’s address would they please send it to me? I think the one I have is out of date.
Best wishes to all under the quilt.
Tony Romo is out for the season, sob!
Nightly noodles y’all
11:34 pm on November 30th, 2015
We have to go trick out another wheelchair from the sound of things. Nighty noodles.
