Congrats to Siba and all that, but we really know (and certainly no sour grapes here) the real winner should have been Daniel the golden retriever, champ of the Sporting Dog class. Oh well, like in baseball, there is always next year

We here were rooting for Daniel, too. What a great dog. The Schnauzers here do get groomed but we steer away from frou frou! I hear Daniel is going to be on the Today Show but I don’t know which day.

Rio, I have crocheted for many years. I didn’t learn about the magic circle until lately. I just could not do it. Of course I was trying with tiny little thread.
I personally think it is overrated. It is supposed to be away to make your circle close up completely so you don’t have a little tiny hole in the middle of your work. I decided that I LOVE the little tiny hole and that is what I am going with.
Of course the only time I crochet now is to make a spool pin doily for my mature sewing machines. And if I don’t have a little hole in it I can’t slide it over the spool pin…
    So therefore.

Here is one of my spoolpin doilies. It is a little over an inch in size
