Beside Myself
The turkey got dropped off today, thanks to our pal Slim Speigel. Has Slim come up before? What a guy! He did some time at Central State Correctional – I grabbed him by the pant leg, but gently – and now he’s doing this and that. It’s a kosher turkey. Slim says they’re the best. I know all about kosher from the best chicken Iād ever tasted, at the celebration dinner after the final stake-out in the Teitelbaum divorce. The Teitelbaum divorce: a nightmare. Mrs. Teitlebaum riding a bulldozer straight through the wall of the garage where Mr. Teitlebaum kept his antique car collection ā hard to forget a sight like that.
Meanwhile, Thanksgiving is coming! I feel bad that I’ve been gnawing the legs on the couch, but not too bad.

Chet, long before we had the 10 Newfoundlands, we only had 2 Newfoundlands and 2 mutts. One of the Newfoundlands was a cute puppy. A LARGE cute puppy.
We ate our Thanksgiving dinner and for some reason thought we could leave the table without clearing.
Here came Bear headed outside, here came Clara headed outside, here came Jamie headed outside and then here came Eleanor, the puppy, wandering around with her head stuck in the turkey carcass.
It was really funny.
Maybe Bernie will give you some turkey leg meat. It's better for you than the table legs.

Ohh….I got a kosher turkey too – brined. Let's hope I can remember the instructions for the high-tek digital thermometer…. or Wojo may be getting a lot of turkey to eat!

Melanie, that's hysterical!
Don't worry, Mom, the digital thermometer is a piece of cake, I promise. Your bird will be *perfect*.
