Good morning, everyone! Great news about Bentley and glad he is having some people contact, albeit like the boy in the plastic bubble. Thanks for the update, Spence.
Monday, already? Sheesh – well, then, let’s throw caution to the wind and : Have Mismatched Monday! (As simple as 2 different earrings)
8:45 am on October 20th, 2014
Good Morning HOH. Bentley looks happy and well cared for. I bet he continues to test negative for Ebola.
Speaking of mismatched, did you know that that trend has been popular with the kids for several years? I think one brand that sells those accessories is called Miss Matched.
9:07 am on October 20th, 2014
B&M&L, Sorry to say that the kids gave mom the idea with socks.
9:18 am on October 20th, 2014
HOH’s description of “boy in a plastic bubble” is a good one. I wonder what Bentley thinks about it.
Good morning all.
9:39 am on October 20th, 2014
Greetings!
B,M,&L: The socks of which you speak are called littlemissmatched. How do I know this? Because I have several pairs. When I used to go for my lightning bolts, the hospital staff was always curious to see what socks I was wearing. I always tell people that I am known for my socks, since I don’t have any plain pairs.
Bentley seems to be such a sweet dog. I hope that he will be tip-top and reunited with his mom.
I think a walk to the post office is in store today. Some more calendars need to be sent.
9:41 am on October 20th, 2014
We are having issues keeping the wifi connection for the interweb so we may be a bit sporadic. Maybe when the DDD awakens, he can help.
10:05 am on October 20th, 2014
Good Morning All–Good news about Bentley and very happy to see Wose/Rose out from under the quilt and contemplating a walk. I’m getting ready to take my three-legged journey to spread wisdom and knowledge, but it’s overall a short workday today so I’m looking forward to it.
Be well and happy, everyone (I’m always pretty much mis-matched as it is, so no special effort required on my part).
10:24 am on October 20th, 2014
Morning all. We’re up. We are awake. Can’t say much more until the kawfee kicks in.
10:27 am on October 20th, 2014
I am going to find some mismatched somethings and wear them in honor of the Plunderers.
10:28 am on October 20th, 2014
Just saw Spence with Rio and Wookie, having hot wings, AND Pearl sleeping up top. This will be a lucky day.
You are right Rose, it is Little Missmatched. Their socks are cute.
10:36 am on October 20th, 2014
Zoe, you rock!
10:45 am on October 20th, 2014
Bentley is looking good!
Staff sent me some littlemissmatched socks after Wose first mentioned them. They came in threes (not pairs) and I wear them whenever I need some extra fun in my life.
Normally I am like DianeC, naturally mismatched.
Zoe: I’m honored!
A work day today, trying to make order out of chaos.
11:16 am on October 20th, 2014
Good morning, barely. Poor Bentley. What must he think of being quarantined with his only interaction being with a monster in a hazmat suit? How much longer does he have to go thru that?
Speaking of sox, Mom has her Alaska sox on today. It madeher smile and think about her Plundering friends.

Checkpoint Update
This website is under construction but the Checkpoint information is up to date: onwardsnowhook@blogspot.com
This site has clear instructions on how to donate to Snowhook Kennels for Iditarod 2015.
Go Snowhook Kennels!
12:48 pm on October 20th, 2014
Dawson, That is not a website. It is an email address. We just checked Snowhook’s site, but the Checkpoints are still last year’s.
12:51 pm on October 20th, 2014
We’re with Dawson in Trying to Make Order Out of Chaos.
Is it even possible?
If not, We’ll go with y’all and MisMatch our Socks too.
12:54 pm on October 20th, 2014
Website!….Dawson what the heck!?…grunt!…Here try this link instead…sniff!
http://www.onwardsnowhook.blogspot.com
1:01 pm on October 20th, 2014
O’Howlers: Oh, dang it. I got the address wrong.
I typed onwardsnowhook.blogspot.ca into my search engine and up came a page that has 5 or 6 Snowhook dog icons – for different subjects – one of those being the checkpoints. Remember this is under construction. I probably wasn’t supposed to blabber my mouth about it. Oops!
1:03 pm on October 20th, 2014
Oh! Geez!
Thanks Rio!
Heh, heh!
Back to work!
1:36 pm on October 20th, 2014
Riö & Dawson: Pretty kool!
Hi, Zoë!
1:46 pm on October 20th, 2014
Masquers!
I will to mail you my itinerary as soon as it is finalized. Just in case.
1:50 pm on October 20th, 2014
Dawson! Thanks. ^..^
1:51 pm on October 20th, 2014
It’s here! It’s here! I have a calendar!
Wose, it’s beautiful. You did a great job. Thank you for all the effort you put in to this.
Wow!
2:08 pm on October 20th, 2014
Oh geez – (hitting paw to forehead) – Mama hasn’t even sent our check to Wose for our calendar yet.
Sorry Wose – we are working on it. Mama has hidden all the boxes, and the packing tape, but we think we know where she hides the envelopes and stamps.
Hmmmm, wonder if we could jam a kitty kat into a #10 envelope……
2:12 pm on October 20th, 2014
Hi everyone. I’ve been busy with kittens and cats. The onward Snowhook website looks great! Thank youse.
Wose: I will try and get my calendar $ to you in tomorrow’s mail.
Now for some photos: Two seal point kitties

2:13 pm on October 20th, 2014
Here are 3 kittens from the litter of 6:

2:29 pm on October 20th, 2014
Spence, Thanks for the update on Bentley. He and the nurse will soon be able to get on with their lives.
What fun! The new website under construction for Snowhook is very impressive. I like it!
Have I missed something? Is Dawson going somewhere?
2:31 pm on October 20th, 2014
The Onward Snowhook website is awesome!!!!! Like like like.
Kat wants a few of those kitties. She is convinced that she is a Mama Kat.
2:47 pm on October 20th, 2014
C.Hobbit: Seal Point! If only we could Enlarge the Photos.
I forgot…how many kitties in each litter?
Anxiously looking forward to the New Plunderer Calendar!

Two black kittens:

3:08 pm on October 20th, 2014
BSD: One mama cat has 6 kittens and the other has 3. Both mamas are black cats.
Litter #1: 2 black (males), 1 tortoise (female)
Litter #2 2 black, 2 tortoise, 2 seal points. 4 females and 2 males
Litter #1 is a little bigger which could be due to either being born a few days before the other litter or the fact that the mama only had 3 kittens instead of 6.
My heating vents are being professionally cleaned today so I moved all of them to my large master bathroom with heated tile. The mama with 3 are in my glass shower and the mama with 6 are on the floor. I have classical music and white noise machines in the bathroom muting the sound of the machinery. Moving everyone from their private bedrooms was interesting/traumatic even though I took my time and planned on 2 hours to play/feed/socialize and transport the different litters.

3:35 pm on October 20th, 2014
Kats!…Galore!…snort!
3:48 pm on October 20th, 2014
What Does Sadie Say about all this?
3:49 pm on October 20th, 2014
HOBBIT: The kitties are sooo cute! It is too bad the photos cannot be enlarged. sneeze! I must have one of those kitties.
Love the new Snowhook website!
Love the Audrey and Pearl profile!
MPM: Thank you! I hope the rest of the Plunderers will like the calendar. I had fun with the project.
3:51 pm on October 20th, 2014
We wish CHobbit wasn’t so bored and could find something to do. Heh, heh, heh. Her boundless energy must be due to crazy Alaska day/night hours 🙂
4:15 pm on October 20th, 2014
Staff: The post office tells me that your certain package has been delivered.
Dawson: There is something in that certain package other than a calendar for you.
4:41 pm on October 20th, 2014
Rose!…How come Dawson gets special stuff?….hmmmm!grunt!
4:48 pm on October 20th, 2014
RIO! Because she is Awesome!
4:59 pm on October 20th, 2014
Wose, we enlarged the photos but they went so big that you could only see a small amount of the original. The kitties are adorable. C. Hobbit, are you tempted to keep one or two?
We did not receive our calendar yet but we did get a very special package today from T & G’s Mama. Barb’s snowflake earrings have arrived and they are precious. Barb figures that she will start wearing them Dec. 1st even if we have no snow. We loved the card too, and the special message on the outside of the card. Thank you!
5:31 pm on October 20th, 2014
OOOh! I get something special from Wose.
Rio: Wose wuves me!
CHobbit: All the kittens are irresistible!
5:57 pm on October 20th, 2014
Barb: the kittens are very cute but with them all being long-haired, I am not so tempted to keep any. One mama cat has so many mats which she has allowed me to cut out, thank goodness. The other one won’t let me pet her yet.
The rescue people say they get calls all the time for kittens so there will be no problem getting them in furever homes. They will be ready to leave around Thanksgiving.
6:27 pm on October 20th, 2014
Barb just picked up a house plant that was sitting on the curb with a “Free,Don’t Overwater” sign on it. The man cam out and put it in the car for her. He said it is a succulent, but not one we had ever seen before. After researching it, we found out it is a Zansibar Gem, or a Zamioculeas variety. The guy said his lady friend moved to Florida and left her plants for him to take care of. She just called and said she didn’t want them. This thing is so huge that Josh has to come over and carry it inside. Does anyone know anything about succulents?
6:43 pm on October 20th, 2014
Barb,M&L: Good score! Don’t over water.
6:44 pm on October 20th, 2014
All we know about Succulents, and it isn’t much, is that they retain water and Can Survive in Arid Conditions…hence the “do not over-water” sign.
6:45 pm on October 20th, 2014
ML. Check your SDD!
6:57 pm on October 20th, 2014
Dawson, It was a great score! The pot is probably a $40.00 pot, and the plant, who knows? We were thinking of giving it to Josh for his sun room, but think we will try to find a spot here. Jessica over waters to the point that there is standing water is some pots with algae growing in them! Over water would be in this pant’s future!
6:59 pm on October 20th, 2014
Barb, be careful. The plant is poisonous to ingest. It’s warned to keep away from pets and children.
7:16 pm on October 20th, 2014
MPM, I read that it is dangerous for livestock to ingest. My housemates have never attempted to eat any plants, inside or out, so I don’t think it will be a problem. However, I will keep a close eye out just in case. Thank you for the warning.
7:42 pm on October 20th, 2014
Dawson…read and responded. oops
8:10 pm on October 20th, 2014
Gosh, our mom is a techno dummy. She forgot she could use her fone to access the blog when the wifi acts up 🙁 We can’t use it well because it is so teeny-tiny.
8:19 pm on October 20th, 2014
MPM: I hope LouLou and Sammie are pleased that they are the Valentine girls.
8:20 pm on October 20th, 2014
Beau: I congratualte your team, and Peyton Manning!
8:25 pm on October 20th, 2014
Wose, Loulou is strutting around like she’s really big stuff. Sammie hasn’t seen it yet so we’re saved her strutting around until tomorrow. They will both be hard to live with.
8:27 pm on October 20th, 2014
It is time for me to go to my big, warm bed with no baseball toys in all the right places. Going to sleep is another story. heh!
Good night to all!
8:28 pm on October 20th, 2014
MPM: Yeep! I guess now you will have to throw rose petals in their paths…
8:29 pm on October 20th, 2014
Masquers: If I am awake at 3am, ask Nana to check her go-phone…..
8:30 pm on October 20th, 2014

blog sign-on problems…..
9:46 pm on October 20th, 2014
So much is happening….here on the blog and in real life too.
We would have been here earlier, but we decided to check out the new Snowhook website, and we got sucked in. It is just wonderful! We went from page to page to page, and were enchanted and entertained and enlightened. Good job to AJ and Rebecca – great site!
Tonight we can say that finally, brother is out of the hospital and into a nursing home. 20 days in telemetry unit of the hospital with numerous visits by the crash cart, multiple scares and lots and lots of meds. We don’t know what the future holds yet. Every day is an adventure.
Glad you like the earrings Barb. Hope everyone else gets their goodies soon.
(sorry Rio – nothing for Pugs in this round. But you never know….)
Long day. Very long day. And so (((((yaaaaawwwwnnn))))), g’night, family
9:48 pm on October 20th, 2014

Mama loves the seal points. How precious they are. We want to have kittens here too!
We’ll talk about it tomorrow.

Rio the evil pug has made a big donation to the Nome checkpoint. I hope Beau does not miss his treaty money from his piggy bank too much, when he notices that it is gone! Between Rio and Wose, the Nome checkpoint for the Giant and his BDHW is very, very close to being fully funded!
Thanks to all the Plunderers and friends for supporting our favorite musher and the best damn handler wife ever!

10:33 pm on October 20th, 2014
Including the school’s athletic director is also
helpful if it is arrangeable. Not many Americans use the PHProxy websites to limit their chances
of obtaining a virus or for privacy. I suggest you energize your intentions with
emotional energy.
10:56 pm on October 20th, 2014
“Energize your intentions with emotional energy”???
Hmmm, wonder if we should click on that website.
.
.
That thump you just heard was Rio falling over in a connip.
tee hee
11:09 pm on October 20th, 2014
Click!…If anyone is so stupid to click on that link…grunt!…I will personally hitch-hike to your house with my little knapsack and harmonica and splort all over you and your kibble. Then I will blow tunes day and night till you go insane…grumble!
11:58 pm on October 20th, 2014
Ooo, Rio, of all things A. Catty does, blowing on the harmonica is the WORST! I really yowl it up when she does that.
So – no link clicking for me. (Luckily the link isn’t even showing up on my ‘puter.)
