Beginnings (More)
On Sundays we’ve been doing beginnings – all the Peter Abrahams books in chronological order, including those written under the Spencer Quinn pen name. Here from 2011 – #26, my only picture book – QUACKY BASEBALL, illustrated by the great Frank Morrison.
[“When ‘the little rookie from the wrong side of the marsh’ swings the bat, he brings it on home.”

Opening day – and Thumby Duckling is nervous.

Good morning everyone! This post “quacks” is up because mom looks for this book every Tuesday at the library. It is the second book in the E (meaning Easy) section. We are pleased to report that it is checked out about 80% of the time.
Go PASQ.
Happy Beginnings and Chetspeak and Egg Day and Sunday. Have a superb Sunday.

The cover art is nice. I read this book from Staff’s collection of Peter Abraham’s books. Sweet!
This is “Alaska Weekend” on CSPAN.org. There is an interesting interview with Mary Shields, the first woman to finish the Iditarod, among other features.
Enjoy your day!
