Beginnings
On Sunday we do beginnings, taking a look at the start of a Peter Abrahams novel, including those written under the Spencer Quinn moniker. How about A Fistful of Collars? The digital edition seems to be on sale for $1.99. That’s less than 2 bucks! This might be a good introduction to the series for some frugal friend. Does this frugal friend like cats? They – and Chet – will meet a cat named Brando in this story. What more could anyone ask?
“Heard you drove another one off a cliff,” said Nixon Panero. He spat a thin brown stream of chewing tobacco into an empty paint can, or maybe not that empty. Yellow paint, the yellow of egg yolks, now with a brown swirl in the middle: there’s all kinds of beauty in life.
“You heard wrong,” said Bernie.

First!…I’m First! Finally!…heh!…Checking on the Last Great Race and things are going to get wicked today I can feel it in my pug-bones!…yeeep!
Tobacco!…This post reminded my friend of the times she would be sent to the little store to buy chewing tobacco for her big brother…snort!…At that time he was an evil genius because no store clerk would think that a little girl would be buying tobacco for another kid. Plus he had a hand written note he gave my friend to show the clerk. It said she was buying this for her grandpa….heh!…Worked every time.

Greetings!
RIO! Evil genius indeed!
Grizz recently purchased a Fire Stick, so were watching The Crown Friday evening, and Rio, I thought of you. During a scene in Episode 5, Season 1, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor had two pugs running around. Heh!
Good afternoon to all!

$1.99 is a great deal. I am going to get it on my e-reader and then it will be with me when I travel and want to dip into a good book.
Wose: I am way behind with the streaming technology. I need to visit my nephew and his teen kids and get a lesson.
Gloomy day here interspersed by checking the Iditarod Insider and the Chet blog.

Dawson, it looks like you are going to have some almost spring like weather.
We have a chance of more snow tonight.
