Sunday is for beginnings, when we take a look at the start of a Peter Abrahams novel, including those written under the Spencer Quinn moniker™. Since we’ve been getting a few questions asking when Bark To The Future is coming out (answer: it came out in August!), how about we go with it and get you latecomers started?

“Let’s see what this baby can do,” Bernie said.

And there you have it. Bernie’s brilliance, lighting up the whole oil-stained yard at Nixon’s Championship Autobody. Let’s see what this baby can do. Can you imagine anyone else saying that?

    Good day to everyone!
We love all of Spencer’s beginnings. Get a kick out of them every time. It might be fun to line up all of his beginnings just to see.

Happy Sunday, all! We are in the second week of cooler weather. It is wonderful after a summer of record heat. No rain though. Drought continues.

I lost one of my babies last Monday. He had kidney issues that were discovered August 2021. Cat Dr said maybe a couple of months so I feel blessed he did well for over a year. Last weekend he decided he was done and quit eating. Helped him cross the bridge on Monday. Dawson, you may remember me mentioning his name years ago. Ebby Calvin. Named for a character in the movie Bull Durham. RIP sweet Eb.

Boo Bear’s Mom —I’m sorry to hear about your loss. It’s so hard to say good bye and yet comforting that you had unexpected extra time with Eb. Head bumps.

Boo Bear, we here feel for your loss. We always wonder why our close creatures live so much shorter time than we do? Perhaps there is a message for us two legged. Treasure your “friends”.

Lets See!….snort!…The first pages of the new book had my friend laughing out loud!…wheeze!…I do not laugh out loud but I did guffaw and burp when she read it to me…snorkel!

Neighbor!…Our neighbors straight across from my house stopped this afternoon to show us her new 4 month old Pug!…gaggle!…She was so small but she had really long legs which of course she will grow into. My friend swooned and sighed over that little puglet…sniff!…I hope this doesn’t start something I will have to live with again…grunt!
