Bark to the Future: B&N Promotion!

Bark To The Future is the next Chet and Bernie novel, coming in August. (May I point out the series can be read in any order? You could start with this one! In fact, with Bark To The Future, it would even make some sense). The reason I bring this up so soon is that Barnes & Noble will be running a special pre-order promotion from today through Jan. 28. During this period, every title available for pre-order – which includes Bark To The Future – on BN.com will be 25% off. The promotion is good for hardcover and eBook. Just
use the code PREORDER25 at checkout.

I should point out that the description of the book is not quite accurate but that should be fixed very soon. Cover art will also be up there soon as well.

Hey, all. Sounds like a good deal. We lost so many books when the house burned, this could be a good way to replace some.

The promotion is great for e-book but not so much for hardcover. When you add the shipping (because you can’t pick it up) it comes out about the same as with Amazon.

Now, if there were an e-story involved, say, The Iggy Chronicles, vol 2….

I have officially declined to attend my 50th high school reunion. I just can’t see standing around a pool for a few hours eating happy hour food for $75. I don’t care about a photographer, this isn’t prom and what decorations are you going to put up outside at a bar by a pool? As for Ambiance, I’m not paying $50 for Ambiance. I can get that for free at numerous places around the city. I suspect they will be lucky to get 100 people, which I guess is the hotel’s minimum requirement.

I’ll wait until our 60th and see how many people show up. As long as it isn’t $75 to stand around and eat street tacos and bruschetta, I might show up.

For $75 I expect to sit at a table with a cloth tablecloth and napkins and eat off of china plates with real metal utensils. I can get all that and a lobster dinner for $75.00. I don’t need balloons and a photographer.
