Baby Saves The Day!

“Baby being a ten-year-old pit bull terrier,” says Spence.

“Nice article,” says Admin. “With my personal favorite use of ‘drug’ included.”

Good morning, All! Hurray for Baby. And imagine, there are many states and counties that are confiscating her kind just because they have decided that breed is dangerous. grrrr

Hello, I admit to being a loooong time Lurker. Just had to comment: the herd here is a TN long-tailed black bear, a Boxer, an Aussie/chow, a French airhead (labradoodle), and a pit mix. Pit knows she is a lap dog.

Those of the nation within only do as their people expect. Pit doesn’t mean mean!

We girls read together most nights. Looooove Chet!

Welcome Sharon V.!!! Thanks for lurking, and especial thanks for posting. We here love love love Pits. We have many Pit cousins, and they are all lap dogs, and lovey dovie beyond measure. We hate how that breed is currently on the “Danger” list. It used to be our kind that were considered dangerous, and now the latest measurements list us as one of the top least aggressive kind. So no way you can judge a dog by its breed; only by its person/trainer.

Welcome Sharon V – glad you jumped in. Hope you will be a regular part of the conversation.
Zoe – Mama says the very best way to gain weight is to do a body switch with her for a couple of weeks. She said something about having the metabolism of a granite boulder.

Zoe, Mom says gaining weight begins and ends with chocolate.

Baby is, indeed, a hero. We like pitts and think it is a shame that our shelters in this state are full of them.

I looked across the street today and the neighbors house has a huge sign on it that says One Billion Rising. Being rather home-bound these days I had no clue. Looked it up on Google. YES! I am in favor of this. I am tired of reading all the many ways men exploit and use women. It is time to change this behavior.

    Alice, I counted 40 squares.

Hurrah on the soon to be ex staples.
Speaking of exes, I received an email from mine today saying he and his wife had been mugged in France and couldn’t get any help for at least two weeks. They had no money and could everyone send some. Yup! His email and info were hacked. They even new his wife’s name.

The people from the garage came and jumpstarted the Subaru. During the -24 degree weather I was Newf Nursing and didn’t have time to start it. He said to keep it going for 40 minutes. I remembered it 120 later.

Whoops. While I was out I noticed the bird feeder and suet were almost done so I filled that, then I cleaned off the ramp.

    Resting again now.

Staff, We googled One Billion Rising. YES! And we see that some of the events were posted on one of our fb pages: One Million Pissed Off Women. So it was yesterday?
On a somewhat related note, Mom has beeen trying to contact a girl in Afghanistan who we sponsor. The phone # is confusing. She got the long-distant operator to help, but all we got was a blocked number. Mom should have called long ago, but she was intimidated by the time difference, language difference, and not having a clue about international dialing.

We can all list the checkpoints that we know and reason for their selection. Then hopefully we can put it all together. What do youse think?
Here is what we know: Misha and Sasha’s checkpoint is Kaltag, and the reason is that somewhere between Kaltag and Unakaleet (we think) is where AJ starts feeling that he is to be united with Bella. So this year, Sasha wanted to feel herself being united with her beloved Misha Moonman. Now, we will be celebrating that reunion.

Mad Dogs and an English Woman by Polly Evans is the latest Yukon Quest book I’m reading. It’s about the 2006 race when 6 mushers and teams were stuck in a storm on Eagle Summit, missing for a couple days, (before the days of automatic updates on tracking – so no one knew where these mushers were) family members frantic and finally the army sent in a Black Hawk and a Hercules helicopter and rescued them off the mountain. Wow!

Zoe: We have two thoughts when it comes to gaining weight. One, we suggest frozen chicken skins. Two, hold an evil pug in one arm, hold a black, scripture quoting pug in the other arm, step on scale.

Our Lady arrived home after midnight last night and then left a few hours later to go to the office. She left work a little early today, picked AJ up from dropping the truck off at the shop and is now home sitting by the fire and planning on going to bed early and sleeping in late.

Mom says that just opening the fridge and looking in is good for a pound each time. The calories jump out and attack.

Rebecca, thank you so much for the beautiful patch. It arrived at the end of a truly disastrous day, and made mom cry, after which she felt much better. Our song contribution , which is best when played during a fast run is the theme from Silver Streak. The music itself seems to be moving on down the track (or trail).

The small dog team so far is Moi, Sammie, Holly, Annie, Biddie, and Belle. We could use some corgis.
