Babbette (More)

Many thanks to Steve Laudon, human companion of Babbette, Chet’s April Friend of the Month, for telling us something about her:

“Babbette is a 12 year old Mini Schnauzer rescue. She was rescued from a breeder farm when they grew tired of keeping her. She’s super sweet and kind, but is shy around strangers, especially men. She lives with me and her adoptive Mom here in the suburbs outside of Columbus, Ohio. She has a huge personality and is known in the neighborhood as ‘Barking Babbette’ and doesn’t take any BS. She would give Iggy a run for his money!”

Woo hoo hobbit, a comment from Chet. Way to go girl!
Hope everyone has a happy Boo Bear day.
A wee bit icy here today, but I’m sure warmer temperatures will return in the next couple of days.

Barking Babbette, heh. Last summer two neighbors started warring with each other. Neighbor A was new to the neighborhood and had two great Danes heavily supervised but who would bark when outside in the fenced yard. The city has a law about barking dogs (a 5 or 10 minute rulel). Neighbor B turned him into Animal Control. Neighbor B had three wee dogs that would be walked off leash throughout the neighborhood and the wee dogs would pee and poop on yards. Neighbor A called Animal Control on Neighbor B.

CHET THE DOG: The after effects of my first chemo treatment had me at a pain level 8 out of 10 in the middle of a Friday night for four hours. As I tried to breathe through the pain I decided to focus on something I could look forward to. I immediately thought of the new Chet and Bernie book that would be coming out early summer. I wanted to be around for that.

Another cold day here. The high will be 21. Next week we will alternate between cold days and some warm days–more cold ones than warm ones.

Neighborhood!…Back in the day when my friend would take me and Beau on our brutal walks around the neighborhood Beau had an ill-advised tendency to poop on neighbors bushes….grunt!…Oh yes! He was known for his cartwheel pissing along the board fence in my backyard. So imagine if you will him on his front two paws backing up to a bush and then pooping on the branches….snort!…My friend was embarrassed and amazed at the same time!…yeeep!…She would stand in front of him so no one could see what he was doing. But I could see and I am still almost laugh out loud when I think of it….Poop hanging off bushes…guffaw!snort!
