The question comes up often: Are the Chet and Bernie short stories available in printed form? Answer: no. The first 4 – A Cat Was Involved, The Iggy Chronicles Volume 1, Tail of Vengeance, and Santa 365 – are available digitally. For example, you could read them on your phone. I myself would never read a novel on a phone, but a short story? That sounds perfect. Short story small screen. Alliterative and on point! (Nothing to stop you from printing them out.)

AND: the 4 short stories are also available on audio, narrated by the great Jim Frangione. As for the two latest short stories – Upper Story and The Iggy Papers – both part of special deals at pub time for Heart of Barkness and Of Mutts and Men – I hope they will also become available at some point.

I hope that all the C&B short stories will be published as a paperback some day.

Short stories area perfect companion sometimes. I am going to see if I can download an audible Chet book from the library just to hear Jim Frangione. I wonder if the Chet blog can post a small clip someday in an audio file??? It would be good advertising.

Chessie has decided to challenge Mr.Big for top spot in my heart. It won’t happen but she has usurped Mr. Big from the big bed with an heated mattress pad. I guess when Mr. Big kept ignoring her friendship requests, Chessie decided to give up and be her own kitty.

Sadie is enjoying the crisp weather. She woke me up at 3 am to sleep outside until 9 am. The house thermostat is at 61, I have the bedroom window open and the ceiling fan on. But she is too warm. Darn those husky genes!

It is good to have a dog because I know I go on a walk at least once a day. BBL

Pumpkin!…Rose my friend says she won’t know who wins till tomorrow after 3pm….grunt!…Today they put all the pumpkins in a study room where it is dark to be judged by staff. But my friend is the only one who lit up her pumpkin head with a small flashlight. Hopefully someone turned that off when the library closed…gurgle!…They will use the candles tomorrow night outside when they are handing out candy to the little kiddos. The weather is supposed to be in the balmy 50’s…heh!

The first Halloween in this house, my lawn was completely torn up due to landscaping. People seemed to think it was part of my decor as they picked their way to my steps. Then when they got to the porch and looked at my family room window, there were 9 live black kittens on the window sill. (Their foster two moms were back cats). Halloween was perfect that year.
