Good morning everyone! We wish mom could have taken us to school but she did take one of our predecessors…the first Newfie. We like the article!
    Wickedly wonderful Wednesday to all.

    Good going, Clapper!
Today I fly from Newfoundland to Halifax. I will have a week exploring Nova Scotia and Prince Edwards Island.
Does this comic remind you of two pugs?

    Way to go, Archer!

C.Hobbitz: I am laughing at your post. If I was drinking a beverage, I would have snorted it through my nose. Enjoy your travels!

BMALS: Belated birthday wishes to you…Hope you had a great day!

HOH: Some more things your friend can do in Boston…Walk the Freedom Trail. There are dedicated historic stops along the way. Visiting Quincy Market is fun. The Prudential Tower has many retail shops and restaurants. Is your friend staying in Boston?

RIO! I mailed the card on the Saturday of the Labor Day weekend. I bet the Pony Express was faster. Snort!

    Good day to all!

Wose, I wanted to tell someone about the Freedom Trail tour. When I clicked on the link I didn’t see pricing. I see that it is 2.5 miles which would be fine, but do you know the approx. price?

BMALS: I believe walking the Trail is free, unless you go into one of the sites on it, like Paul Revere’s house. Entrance into PR’s house is $5.

BMALS: The USS Constitution is another one of the sites on the Trail. There is a small suggested donation to go aboard the ship.

Ahem!…I have a sad announcement to make. My friend took ole Beau to the V-E-T for one last time today…sniffle!…Only his harness came back…sob!…My friend wants to thank all of youse for your thoughts and prayers for Beau over this last torturous month…sniff!…She cared for him the best she could given his ability to refuse almost any treatment. She did have the diabetes shots down to a science that’s for sure…wuffle!…She had hoped he would have enjoyed the little garden areas much more, but by the end he was blind, deaf and a little dumb…snort!

Missed!…Anyway, I will miss my adopted brother, but I have a feeling he will be showing up from over the Bridge posting on this here blog…wheeze!…Just to annoy me and try to keep me on the straight and narrow…yeep!

Song!…A dear friend sent this song on behalf of Beau’s crossing over…snuffle!

Rio’s friend and Rio. Our hearts are broken here in Chevy Chase about the news about Beau. He was a real fighter to the very end and we know how much you tried to take care of him. We do have it on very good authority from the other side of the bridge that his arrival there was a warmfelt and joyous occasion. He will be missed here but as you said, he will continue to spread the word from the other side.

Dear Creator, Thank you for Beau. He is a good pug and a good friend. Please bless and keep his spirit. He deserves it. Please bless that he always know he is loved. Please comfort those who love him. Thank you for Beau. Amen.

Rio: Beau’s journey was smooth. He thanks you for that. There was much anticipation for his arrival. Wookie and I did our best to ensure that Beau was not overwhelmed by the crowd (and the antics of some in the crowd, mostly my lot). Please tell Friend that Beau is Restored to Prime and loving it. Pancho—that’s right, the Thieves decided to conquer and divide a while ago to serve up cahoots in two locations—called dibs on showing Beau the This Side of the Bridge ropes. The first lesson was that Melanie gets first crack at all things gluten. The second is that the Veil will be Thin. Beau takes watching over you and yours very seriously.

Friend: Thank you for being so good to this special creature.

Favors were called in, deals were cut and a couple of I.O.U.s were left to, er, procure this rainbow in honor of Beau. He’s worth it.

Rio: One you go curmudgeon, you don’t go back. Ask Ole Doc. He took curmudgeon out for a spin when we were young and decided that was the life for him.

Friend and Rio – you adopted Beau and gave him a home and good care. He will be missed but we hope to hear his God-speak soon from the other side of the bridge.

Please accept our condolences. Warm thoughts with you this night.

We are feeling sadness here for Beau. He was loved and he will be truly missed. Friend gave him a wonderful life and she is to be commended.

Rio and Friend: You gave Beau a great family and loved him well through good and bad times. Sure he will look upon you with fond memories and not be too hard on you from the other side. “Where Rainbows Never Die” is a fitting song for the dear old black pug and tears were shed while listening and picturing his grey whiskers bristling while he sermonized us. Beau will be sorely missed.

Update! Beau is still a stickler for the top ten list of Thou Shall Nots on This Side of the Bridge. I thought he would ease up a bit. I will have to work on him.
