Good morning all. Love the picture of Cody.
Rain will be starting soon. Barb is going to take me next door for a play date first. Fred needs the exercise. He needs a two mile jog every day but sadly he doesn’t get it. Dad wanted the Lab, but says he is too tired to walk/run when he gets home from work. Mom has a 3 yr old and 5 yr old, so finds it impossible to walk him during the day. So therefore….Fred does bad things.

O’Howlers: Hooray for no more middle-of-the-night-on-call work. I don’t think I could do that. I’d probably mumble “no” into the phone and go back to sleep. I’m getting sleepy just thinking about that kind of work.
I was up at 6 this morning because Dad’s nurse is starting her training period for when I leave. She has another client at 7 – 12 is why she was here so early to give Dad his morning eyedrops. I thought he would roll over and go back to sleep and I would do the same but he decided to get up. I see a nap in my future.
Turtleman did the scheduling. He gets up at 4 for some unknown (to me) reason. I do not think there is any reason on earth good enough to get up at four. I may have to take over scheduling.

Schedule:
Dad eyedrops are supposed to be administered 12 hours apart. The nurse we have can come over each evening on her way home from work at 9:30 ish. She has that other morning client so she can’t come at 9:30 ish in the morning. The new schedule will be the morning drops can be given when she is done with her morning client (some time between 9 and no later than 12.) Yes. No more 6 o clock.
This is my fault for telling Turtleman that he should schedule the nurse because he is the one who will be in charge when I leave. (sigh). Kathryn, the nurse, will be pleased.

Talk about a bolt out of the blue! Some one commented on the latest video saying he was from CNC and was interested in the dog pool. This made sense to me because there is a Newfoundland club that has those initials. I wrote back – thinking he was a Newfoundland person – on the hows and whys of the pool.
He was a Newfoundlander as in from Canada! Like Awesome Dawson! He wanted to do a human interest story on the dog pool. This would be for their morning radio show.
I didn’t say anything because I did not know if it was going to happen. I went through two pre-interview phone calls, and they decided I was on the up and up, and crazy enough to interview.
I have now been taped. (6 minutes) Will be on tomorrow morning Newfoundland time. I will put up the link tomorrow!

There is a radio show in Australia called “Brush With Fame”, where callers can call in and recount their close encounters with someone famous. I guess for all of us Melanie is now our “Brush with Fame” moment. Although I suspect the Pack gets the nod for supporting cast as well.

I knew you when you were just the daughter of a famous author father and River Bear Newfoundland breeder mother, and mother of YSAS (first s for starving – not successful) and OTAS (when he had no better half and no land), although even back then you had the blog and were an extraordinary photographer. Once you got that video camera, though, that’s when it started. You never looked back. Congratulations Melanie.

Pooped!….Someone here is all pooped out from the damned-busy-place….grunt!….Immediately after she got home her mother reminded her that she needed to make a big pasta salad for the neighborhood get together tomorrow night….sniff! ….Not what she was in the mood for at all. Plus, while she was making pasta salad her mother decided she needed to make the fixin’s for tacos…wheeze!….There is not enough room for both of them in that little kitchen especially when Beau and I have to be in there too. Rose – a long time ago, Mama’s mama was very suck in bed for months. They had a Bearded Collie at that time. While she loved everyone, during that time she became the official crying towel for Mama’s mama. They lived through all that together, and that puppy was hers forever.
And they shared cookies each and every day. That was the best medicine.
