Good morning everyone! Looks blustery and frigid from the lakes through the east coast. Be safe and warm!
Even though it is Monday, have a marvelous one.

    Very interesting video.

It is a blue sky day here in this neck of the woods, with very high winds.

A pre-Valentine GOOGLE Doodle. It is interactive.

    A good Monday to all!

Some facts about the pangolin, the little animal featured in the GOOGLE Doodle:

I have Horowitz’s book, Being a Dog, and it’s very interesting. Basically it’s about the sense of smell that dogs have. To “become” and dog, humans have to learn to use that sense.

    Good morning all.

Rose: That’s an interesting article on the pangolin. Thank you.

And, of course, in my earlier post it should have been, “To ‘become’ a dog…”. Sigh….

Those pangolins are kind of cute…in a prehistoric way!

Mom watched the Grammy’s last night—MOST BORING AWARDS SHOW EVER!!!!! She kept complaining about it, but kept on watching. Mom likes almost all types of music, but she is not a Beyoncee fan and cannot understand why she is put up on such a high pedestal. She was not impressed by any of the musical performances (except for Adele) and the host (who she considers a funny guy on late night) could not engage the audience.

    Total waste of time!

    Correction on the above post….
There were a few musical numbers that were “ok” and some that were just terrible!! But as a whole, the show was not worth watching.

Thanks Boo, glad I didn’t bother to watch. And Bey’s performance got mixed reviews. Looked over the top to me. And just because she is expecting twins doesn’t mean she need to show us all her belly. George Clooney and Amal are handling their expected twins in a much classier way. IMO

The book looks interesting. I never though handling an alpha dog meant that you need to abuse them. I beg to differ – there are alpha dogs. All litters have 5 levels of order from alpha to most submissive.

    Cool Google DOODLE! Thanks, Wose.

Good Morning Everyone (or afternoon, as the case may be).

BMALS, I’ve been meaning to ask…how are Maggie and Sassy getting along? Have they become good buddies?

And at one point in BeyoncĂ©’s performance, she sat down and the crown she had on was highlighted to look like a halo. Mom thought she was trying to liken herself to the Virgin Mary…NOT! And you are correct, Mom didn’t care for the naked belly on the show. She looked much better in the costume that covered her tummy.

Mom just saw on facebook that there was a performance by Native Americans on the Grammys. She must have missed that somehow. Probably walked out for a few minutes.

We have something we’d like to share. You’ve been with the HOH as our numbers have changed (the one constant has been a Newfound). You saw, and heard the squawks and talks of the Peck of Parrots before they crossed the Rainbow ???? bridge. Today we got a foto of our feral feline. Meet T-Kat, her face has a black T above her eyes and down her nose. She has lived in our yard for 10 years.

She is eating some Alaska caught salmon!

The Westminster Dog Show starts with group judging tonight. All I can figure out is that it is being broadcast on FS1. Does anyone know if that cannel is available on DirecTV?

Grump!….All damned day I have been having those same ole issues with the laptop. I could not get to any websites even though the network settings said I was connected to WiFi….burp!…So my friend packed up the computer and took it back to the repair shop. Low and behold it worked with their WiFi…growl!…The gal in the shop told my friend to unplug the router and wait a while then plug it back in and wait about 10 minutes before turning the computer on….snap!…That worked for now anyway. How strange that it worked for most of yesterday when my friend absolutely had to have the internet for her unemployment crappola….wheeze!

RIO! There are some times when we here in this house need to unplug and plug our router too. Our cable service isn’t the very best.

Macy: You are most welcome! I haven’t watched “Hoarders”, but I am currently fascinated with the show “My 600lb Life.”

Thank you, Rio! Mom had tried that but clicked the wrong DirecTV tab and was getting internet stuff instead of TV.

Whew, it’s good to have computer savvy friends close by!

Masquers, the deal we made with the Kat was that she stay outside of our area and keep the chipmunks in the front yard under control. In return she has several shelters around the property and fresh water and meals when it is really cold.
It has worked for 10 years. And all of the critters seem to know that area of the yard is for all wild creatures.

Staff, the low growing plants 20 feet or more away from the fire are going crazy…taller plants are gone, like summer phlox and butterfly bush and crepe myrtle. Mom would like to take credit but the fire probably scared them. Hope all the iris do as well.

FS1!…Well the 777 number the “Finder” gave us did not work for HD. So my friend entered the first number and then we were directed to the correct HD channel for the Westminster Dawg Show…wheeze!…So please try both numbers they give youse just in case. And do it before the show is to begin as you do not want to miss the Toy-Pug group and the Pug winning it…heh!heh!

Boo, the two of them get along great.

Not sure if I told you, but the Basset rescue group brought a dog over two weeks ago for a possible short-term foster. It DID NOT work out. She was a darling 2 year old with possession issues. She snapped at Sassy over a bone and Sassy nailed her ear. No big deal to the dogs, not even a yelp, but there was blood splatter everywhere! They suggested that I put up all bones and toys while she was here, which I was not thrilled about. IMO a dog needs to fit into our home life, not the other way around. Bones and toys are a big deal here, and are very calming for them. Anyway I told them I was not comfortable with the fit and haven’t heard from them since! Guess they did not like my attitude!
