Aftermath

“Enjoy the game?” Spence says.

“Yeah,” says Admin. “The parts I remember. That includes seeing lots of Cubbies fans. They were nice and friendly.”

“I hear you joined in the singing of Sweet Caroline in the middle of the eighth.”

“Where’d you hear that?”

“There were complaints.”

Welcome the elusive T.C.

    Good Morning to All!

Admin: I would have paid to hear you sing “Sweet Caroline.” (snicker) Anyway, I’m glad you got to see the game before the end of the world!

I love that song…and Neil Diamond. Who won?

As T&G said: The world can’t end today because I have far too much to do.

    Good morning all.

I think I heard Admin in that video!!

My guys will be very jealous. Admin saw a WIN! 15 – 5

After extensive research (HA) I have discovered that the Rapture is at 6 pm local times. So I figure Liz will find out about it first and can relay it over here.

The Eastern portion of the blog will relay and so on until we get to C. Harris. If she’s in Alaska at this time. Otherwise it will be Wölfie and BearSpiritDog and Molly (ABP). I think . . .

Melanie – Most of the books we read are on the Kindle and then the Kindle app lets them be read on the iPad too. When Mom wanted a bird book, she got it directly from Apple so the birds are in color. She picked The Encyclopedia of North American Birds and loves it.

Hello Chet, Admin, Spence, B, Molly, Melanie, Rose,
We are thinking that Admin was probably in that video somewhere…did anybody see him?
Neil Diamond….and Red Sox…we think maybe we were having more fun in Oley last evening.
Hey did you see Mom finally caught T.C. in a picture !!!!! YAY now we increase our chance of winning in June.
Beautiful sunny day here (finally). Lots and Lots and Lots of grass to cut, so we will most likely not be able to post much today.

Molly, have a fun – and dry- day for your party. We are supposed to get rain off and on for 5 days.

BSD, Finally got a chance to view the Martha video. The salad box was very similar to what we built, except that we didn’t put the window screen on the bottom. Used the same wire that they used, but put landscape fabric on the inside of the bottom. Also ours was 1 foot shorter and contained 2 inside sections. It’s a great idea for someone with limited space. Thanks for mentioning it to us.

Going to try to get some outside stuff done before the rain starts, and also have to get to the library this morning. BBL

Video!…At first I thought that Admin had shot the video…heh!…Then I realized it was from the 2008 opener…grunt!…The year after they beat the Rockies in the World Series…gruffle!

Beasts!…Well, my friend is going to try once again to go see the Lions and Tigers and Bears out at that sanctuary…sniff!…I wonder if Bob Barker will be there? Its cold out, but the sun is peaking through the clouds. Maybe the beasts will come out and sun them selves today…wuffle!

The iPad app is great. He should have no trouble with it and you get to HEAR the calls. Pretty cool.

Saw a Baltimore Orieole this morning. Now there is a beautiful bird.

So we sat up all night long with an atlas, a world clock, a calculator and a bowl of dry kibble to munch on. This guy who is planning our fates says that the world will end with an earthquake at sunset.
    ok
So we have te same question that we asked when people were panicing over the world ending at midnight on Dec.31 1999 –
IN WHAT PART OF THE WORLD? WHICH TIME ZONE? And what about the parts of the world that don’t go by the Roman calendar?
Is this guy really so arrogant that he thinks the whole world is going to revolve (or not) around HIS timekeeping methods.
Boy, the Aztec, Chinese and assorted other people may have something to say about that!
    Sheesh – people are weird!

Glad that Admin got to see a good game; we were up late following the Rockies on Yahoo — not a pretty outcome, a walk-off n home run for Milwaukee in the14th inning ended it sadly for the Rockies. Good Morning!

Poor Admin. Seems the singing voice is not appreciated by some.

Hello to TC, and B up there at the top today!

We have about another nine hours til “the end” here on the West Coast, so will make the most of it! A soggy type day here too after those amazing 4 days of warm sunny weather.

Barb&Maggie: We jotted down your instructions for the Salad Box as the smaller size will work better for our purposes. Thanks for the email to Wolfie’s mom. We really miss them.

Catching up with last night’s posts – Siber-H, Wookie and Rio – you guys crack me up with your baseball talk. Frontline for Betancourt indeed 🙂 Rio, you are a great announcer. I feel like I’m right at the game and actually am becoming interested.

Das reboot: Still no luck, Rio. It does seem to be a wireless connection problem though. The main computer is ok, but the laptop and Roku don’t connect. We’re now waiting for someone in the know to sit at the computer & talk with tech support. Nana can’t do it because she is freaking out from the stress and was told to wait for help.

I haven’t had my breakfast yet so I, too, am getting growly.

I got some more lovely herbs (no B&S not you): Basil for my neighbor, sphere basil, celery herb, and curly parsely for me. Also wonderful tomatoes (though not as good as they’ll be in August) and fresh beautiful asparagus. Yum!

T&G: I’d like to hear more about the world potter. Very interesting. How are your projects coming?

Shortly I will leave for a meal out and then I’m finally going to see the movie Jane Eyre. During The Rapture–my time–I will be sitting in the theater and half way through the film. The world wouldn’t dare end before I see the end of the film.

Hello plunderers! Jazzy’s mom here. Spent the morning at a local museum checking out the Bodies Revealed exhibit. Actual bodies/people showing actual body parts. Brain, heart, kidney, intestines, bones, muscles, spine, nerves, embryos, reproductive, skeleton, etc. Highly informative, but exhausting with all the walking around.

Job is good, very long days with the 2 hour commute time. Nothing happpening with selling the house.

We have no idea what is real in this thing. Very good.

  32. Barb & Maggie
    7:50 pm on May 21st, 2011

Jasper, Barb buried an upside down guy in the front yard, and has a bunny picture on the refigerator. Still haven’t sold the house, but have some lookers.

No baby goats, but 16 baby chicks and possible 2 more coming. That’s a 60% hatch rate, which isn’t too bad for a little counter top incubator. Barb did a terrific job of turning the eggs, so chicks made it out of their shells with no problems. You have to turn the eggs several times a day or the babies stick to the sides of the shells and can’t peck their way out.

Hey, we didn’t get raptured, so we ordered a pizza. Didn’t defrost anything tonight, just in case! Have to drive in and pick it up, we don’t have delivery out here in the boonies. Going to watch Secretariat later.

Glad to see that we are all still here. Wouldn’t you love to talk to that 89 year old guy who said the world was ending? What in the heck is he saying right now? “Dam, thought I would be gone and not have to answer these stupid questions”

Mom woke up from a nap and discovered that she and dad were still here, which dad made mention of. Mom said that just because we are still here doesn’t mean everyone is, so we were glad to see our blog friends are still around, too. The CDC was using a Zombie invasion to highlight the need for emergency preparedness, no matter what the emergency. From what I understand, this is what dad does at the gone-all-day place, but he has not completed the zombie plan for our city. Rebecca, You may be right. The college kids have taken control of the baseball networks. They have kidnapped all the Major League baseball players, OR they have been raptured.

Rio, I can find no explanation on the internet as to what has happend. I even went to Root Sports website…silence. I am sure their Facebookie and twitter will hear about this from Rockies fans.

  71. BearSpiritDog

SnowBella: Siber-H has his guys and gals on call in the event of a marauding goats incident. So far, so good. You’ll notice everyone seems to be finding interesting and novel uses for the surprise gift. That’s what happens when you’re dealing with a group of our obvious talents.

T&G: #1 Son was into the pottery thing a few years back. He had a kiln in the garage and the whole bit. As you can imagine, family members now have a large collections of bowls and assorted items around their homes (smile) He also made Nana a set of 4 mugs and the set of “See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Say No Evil” monkeys. Very nice. I believe he was selling his creations on ebay for a while.

Dog knows what Rio and Siber-H will do with themselves tonight without a game to narrate and exclaim over. Sorry guys. Very sad

Rio and Mr.Husky, I found this by googling. Here is your reason. Fox decided not to broadcast for the reasons below.

    by Steve Foster
The Colorado Rockies and Milwaukee Brewers game Saturday will not be televised. The game is scheduled to start at 5:10 p.m. MDT and falls in the national television window for Fox, who will broadcast its next two games Saturday games in the evening. The Rockies-Brewers game did not make the national TV schedule, but the Brewers elected not to move the game to the afternoon.

The Rockies’ next two Saturday games, an evening game May 28 vs. the St. Louis Cardinals and an afternoon game June 4 at the San Francisco Giants are scheduled to be broadcast by Fox.

We are back briefly. We watched Secretariat and it was quite good. Also enjoyed the rapture pizza.

Sorry you guys are missing your games.

Nattie, your hats are supurb, but Beatrice’s wedding hat topped yours. Maybe Melanie could photoshop that hat on to someone tomorrow.

Got two books at the library. One is titled Gingerbread Cookie Murder, and has 3 short novellas by Joanne Fluke, Laura Levine and Leslie Meier. Sort of light hearted fun. The other is more serious – Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand.

    Great photos, Rio.

We agree with T & G that Mother Nature will get even with humans for all the cruelty some day. Just wonder if it will be against individuals or a group action.

We saw on the news that many people took the rapture very seriously, and they are afraid there could be violence or mass suicides as a reaction by those who thought the world would end.

We are going to read for a few minutes and then off to bed. Night all.
