Admin Sits In

Chet and Bernie were called away early today on a case. Admin decided to drop by and tidy things up a little. “A place for everything and everything in its place” – pure poetry to the admins of this world. Admin arrived just as they were driving off, Chet riding shotgun and looking much as he does on the cover of Dog On It.

Questions have arisen about book 2 in the series. Admin has learned that the title is Thereby Hangs A Tail. Admin was unable at posting time to establish the exact pub date, but February 2010 at the latest, probably a bit earlier. Admin will post the date here as soon as it’s known. There have also been questions about back story, such as how did Chet and Bernie meet and what were the exact circumstances of Chet’s flunking out of K-9 school. An early draft of Thereby Hangs A Tail happened to be briefly in Admin’s possession, but a quick riffle through revealed only partial answers to these questions, and in fact seemed to raise further ones. 

Also a number of readers have asked if the story takes place in the Phoenix area. Admin’s find/replace scan of a digital version of Dog On It got no hits for “Phoenix” or “Arizona.” Perhaps these are facts that Chet does not know, does not need to know, or doesn’t care about, but that’s just speculation on Admin’s part. Admin is going to the gym now, but if there are more questions, please feel free.
