Almost a Chetlike dog only friendlier. The best part is that the puppy wins!
    Have a good hump day.

Peter Kaiser is the first musher this year to cross under the burned arch. Looks like last year’s winner Joar Leifseth Ulsom will be in soon. Ten of the original 52 mushers have dropped.

Yesterday afternoon, we lost water in our apartment complex, so that meant a night at a hotel where we could flush a toilet to our heart’s content.

Those puppies sure are cute! I wonder if the Pixie will be travelling to San Antonio under the guise of business. Heh, heh.
    Beware, Giant! :^)

    Good day to all!

Wose: Sshhh…Milady and Belle Starr left the house early this morning in search of a Belgian Whatchamacallit puppy. This was after two things: bad moods being threatened, and tucking Ole Doc on Milady’s side of the big bed. The Giant will never suspect a thing.

Rio: Typically, the purse pays the first 20 positions although we believe there are some years it’s paid out to the first 30 finishers. Each team that finishes receives $1049.

Rio: A lot of variables are part of the race. There are other teams that have had extended stays along the trail. We aren’t saying this applies to each of those teams with long layovers, but there are teams that had short run times coupled with short rest times earlier on in the race and that is showing up for them later on in the race. Now, there might be some teams that have other issues like broken sleds and wotnot, so our theory isn’t a one-size-fits-all.

You go into a race with all your training and planning. There is the race you planned for and then there is the race you have. Those two aren’t always the same thing. If you’re wise, at some point, you make your peace with the race. You embrace a longer rest schedule and accept a lower standing in the race.
