A Pig In A Poke? Er …
Thanks to Amalia for this tip. And our thoughts are with her and Leonard today.

Good Morning Everyone.
Thanks for posting Amalia’s link Chet.
8:44 am on April 9th, 2013
Good Morning, Bear.
We saw that story yesterday on the news. GAH!
I am hoping that Rio’s friend does not make that dangerous drive to work.
8:48 am on April 9th, 2013
Wose: We are hoping the same thing…that Rio’s Friend Stays Home today.
He is sure to be in a Grumpy Mood. His Beloved Rockies lost yesterday.
9:01 am on April 9th, 2013
Amalia, at some point today, while you are sitting and sitting, remember this please. Leonard is being taken care of. He is in good hands and will want for nothing ( except maybe jello or giraffe inducing meds.) YOU, on the other hand will try to be superwoman. I know. January of 2012, the daddy dawg was in an equipment accident and sustained a head injury, ripped up lower leg (5 surgeries 🙁 ), cuts to head and fractured L2 vertebra. He was cared for, I lived between hospital and animals. You will try. Remember, take a moment (or 12) for yourself…L is being cared for. Your friends here will do all the worrying necessary. And rejoice when he moves to rehab center. Those folks may be slave drivers, but they make all the difference to those we love. Above all…BREATHE. Dawg bless you and pawsitive thoughts from Sharon & the HOH (more on them later).
9:02 am on April 9th, 2013
Oops, almost forgot. HOH is a subdued this a.m. but how could we forget…Gooooood morning everyone.
9:09 am on April 9th, 2013
Good morning all.
9:19 am on April 9th, 2013
Good morning again all.
HOH – thanks. Very glad to know that Daddy Dawg is one tough guy. We will keep your words of wisdom in mind. The rehab place will make my life easier for sure – especially since they will be taking care of the incision area for the worst of it. And because they will have good dancing giraffe meds on hand.
So – what didja all think of that ferret story? Is that wild or what? (and thanks for the good thoughts Admin)
9:24 am on April 9th, 2013
Ferrets on steroids? Oh boy.
Good morning. We really wish we could all be with T&G’s mama for this long day.
Kat said she will go and represent.
9:35 am on April 9th, 2013
HOH, you give some very wise advise. And wow, your dad went thru a terribble injury!
We are still sending you love and sympathy for your loss. Iti s so much harder on those of us left behind.
9:36 am on April 9th, 2013
Some true ferret stories:
The Boy’s college apartment-mate kept ferrets. The ferrets liked to drink the dregs in beer glasses and sometimes the ferrets fell out of the loft onto the couch below the loft when they drank too much. They usually fell on people minding their own business, sitting on the couch (or making out, or whatever). The ferrets liked bright, shiny items and stole them and hid them in the box springs of one of the beds. The favorite stolen item was car keys.
Ferret #1 disappeared one day. They thought he went behind the pipes in the bathroom. They bought another ferret so the one left behind wouldn’t be lonely. Ferret #1 showed up again after a few days, sitting on the doormat, waiting for someone to let him in. They never knew where he went or how he got back. Then they had three (3!) ferrets.
Thoughts and prayers are with you, Amalia. Can you play fishie for a distraction?

Tupper&Gilly: A Very Long Day for your mama.
Waiting is the worst part of it. But she has company.
The Plunderers are waiting too.
The ferret/poodle story was Wacky. Ferrets on steroids…that’s One Way to describe it.
Didn’t they look just a mite small and the wrong shape to the Unsuspecting Buyer?
But Oh so Fluffy. Smirk.

Seeing Chet’s facebookie post on Naming a Dog still over there on the right, reminds me how differently we cats arrive at our names. T.S. Elliot described it thus:

Re: Fooled with a ferret…1)Why would anyone do that to an animal? 2)Why would anyone admit to deing duped like that? and C) Why would someone want a life to be responsible for that they knew so little about? (excuse the hounds dangling prepositions)
10:01 am on April 9th, 2013
Dumb!…If you are that dawg-damned-dumb to not know a ferret from a poodle you deserve to be duped….grump!
10:04 am on April 9th, 2013
Phil!…Someone sent me a text message on my little Go Phone and said she has hired a H i t-M a n to take Phil out…grump!…Roads were sheer ice, the wind is extreme and everyone on the highway was in a very bad mood…heh!
10:09 am on April 9th, 2013
Rio: another &(*$&^ rodent for you!
10:28 am on April 9th, 2013
Amalia, thank you for the post and the earlier SDD. Thoughts are with you on this long day. Keep us updated when you can, please.
We saw the ferret story yesterday. Sorry, but they do NOT have a dog face and their bodies are way too long, and legs too short. $150 each for those two.
Heading out for a bit. Home goods is calling Barb’s name. She wants to get a couple of small flower pots for the front porch and maybe a little outdoor rug.
Very rainy and some thunder which someone here doesn’t like. BBL
10:35 am on April 9th, 2013
Leonard!…Now I can concentrate on Leonard and his spine…sniff!…And that other person who is also having back surgery, but nothing as major as Leonard’s…wuffle!
10:43 am on April 9th, 2013
Good morning all. We have been a little out of touch lately. So much to catch up on.
Amalia, we were stunned to hear of Leonard’s MAJOR SURGERY. Peace be with you as you spend a long day of little comfort, if you are in a waiting room all day. Perhaps you and Melanie could step out for a nice lunch and some libations to make the day go faster.
Sharon, our condolences to you and the Herd on the passing of Ella. Was she the one with whom you were sleeping on the floor?
Give everyone a big hug from us.
Here is a little something for Bella and the pug.

11:03 am on April 9th, 2013
Hey Macy! And BlueCat!
Can’t complain about the waiting room hear. Soft chairs, couches and places to plug computers in. Plus a free kuereg coffee machine and a basket of snack cookies and crackers. Now, if the chatty, self – involved bimbo with the cell phone that keeps binging with text messages would just go home..
We thought that ferret story was bizarre too. Really? A ferret that looks like a poodle? Well, at least it wasn’t a nasty fuzz but on steroids.
11:06 am on April 9th, 2013
Good Morning All!
Thinking about and praying for Leonard and Amalia today.
I am keeping my paws crossed that by the time Rio’s frind drives home from work, the major roads will be plowed and sanded, but that won’t do much good if the wind is still blowing.
Macy, That is a pretty picture and is my idea of a perfect Spring day.
Rebecca, Thank you for the beautiful prayer last night.
11:10 am on April 9th, 2013
The Rockies may have lost last night, but they didn’t lose that badly.
Rio, Timmy is pitching tonight.
11:24 am on April 9th, 2013

Good Morning. Working off the meds so not with it.
Just finished talked to Golinka. She sounds good.
She asked me what I was doing today. I told her if she needed me I’d be there. Otherwise I think I’ll sleep.
Ferrets? Are they nuts? Remember the lambs for dogs scam in Japan?
12:00 pm on April 9th, 2013
Good morning all. We here are thinking of the Storyteller and Stinky Mama.
Melanie, take care.
It snowed 3″ yesterday but it is warming up for the rest of the week. Our best friends have a timeshare, which makes it affordable. And we are about 5 miles aways from Tahoe’s casinos., which is lovely.
And to Rio’s friend, be careful of the drive home!
12:03 pm on April 9th, 2013
My last comment is being moderated. GAH!
12:05 pm on April 9th, 2013
Sending to love to Golinka and the storyteller. This is going to be a long day indeed!
12:33 pm on April 9th, 2013
On and off again with thw inter-tubes.
High winds.
Nap time.
12:40 pm on April 9th, 2013
Thinking of Leonard and Amalia at 2am, 4am, 6am, 8am…and all through the day.

In the meantime it is snowing here also. This is for Rio:
12:41 pm on April 9th, 2013
The Smoochers, aka Dr. Sam is in position, but I want to know is who taught the Storyteller how to dance? He came out on the dance floor and gave me a run for my corgi.
12:43 pm on April 9th, 2013
Spring!…Bah-Humbug!..grump!
Surgery!…Now guess what?…sniff!…Seems my friend saw the lady who was supposed to be in surgery today at the busy-place…snort!…Apparently the surgeon called her last night to say he did not have the skill required to work on her small bones – had her case file for 2 months, finally looked at it…sniff!…Now she has to start the whole process over with a new surgeon…grump!…Her whole summer will be shot. No baseball games – nuthin…gurgle!
12:54 pm on April 9th, 2013
Dear Golinka,
We are hoping the lady with the cell phone goes away soon. Maybe she should learn to text…sniff.
We are waiting along with you and hope the crackers hold out and the cawfee is the way you like it. Hugs from Alice, Abbie and Staff.
Rio! Doctors are very annoying sometimes but I suggest that lady is lucky not to have that kind of doctor working on her. Also she should make a complaint to her patient advocate for the poor service. Sheesh!
Our rain is turning to sleet. I think that our weather found out that Dawson is arriving soon and decided that she needed to be welcomed by another 6 inches of wet snow so she won’t miss the north country. Enough already!
12:58 pm on April 9th, 2013
DIE!…Winter! Die!…grunt!…My friend said she is printing that one out and putting it up beside the one of Phil drinkin’ and smokin’…heh!
12:58 pm on April 9th, 2013
Rio, we don’t remember the story of the friend at the busy place. But we would sure be angry at that surgeon.
Now, about Phil…his prognostications are given in PA, and therefore only cover PA. You folks out west and up north are on your own. 🙂
A, Take a nap!
1:09 pm on April 9th, 2013
The Turtleman just came in to get his snowshoes. He is so excited to have one last chance this year. Life is what you make it is what he says.
He brought me Kielbasa and Sauerkraut from Kramarczuk’s for dinner this weekend. Either Saturday or Sunday when Dawson is here. One of my favorite meals.
http://www.kramarczuk.com/
Oh I went to their website to make the link and I am now starving. Wish I could have it today!

When you read the post above later in the day you will see the first, now moderated, post where I used the correct spelling for snowshows. sniff
1:50 pm on April 9th, 2013
Snowing!…It is snowing like a bastard outside…grump!
2:23 pm on April 9th, 2013
Staff, Barb said she used to get good Kielbasa years ago when she lived in Detroit. Gotta have it with saurkraut and mashed potatoes.
We have a funny story about ferrets. Not as funny as Bluecats, however. Barb was out with a realtor looking at homes to buy. This was years ago when her kids were still young. They were meandering through the house and had gone upstairs to what was one the the kids rooms. Barb felt a little stratching on her leg and looked down and saw a ferret standing on his hind legs and looking up at her. It took her so totally by surprised that she screamed a really, really bad word and jumped on the kid’s bed. The ferret ran and the realtor was doubled over she was laughing so hard. Ended up buying the house, minus the ferret.
2:49 pm on April 9th, 2013
Hoping we’ll get an update soon…..
2:51 pm on April 9th, 2013
Barb – we bet you said a naughty word. Personally, we would probably have needed a change of undergarments. tee hee
My father came by to see how I was and to bring me some lunch. Very sweet of him.
We now have the surgery waiting room all to ourselves for the rest of the day. Everyone else having surgery is winding up and in recovery with their family. So, there is plenty of room for the dancing giraffe show. But we think the dancing giraffes have taken a little too many of their feel better in no time meds if they think that Leonard was dancing his feet off. Leonard has absolutely NO sense of dance rhythm – none! He is a wonderful Storyteller, but Dancing with the Stars will never be calling on him to be on the show. Even as the mandatory season’s hopeless dancer. Leonard says when it comes to dancing, he doesn’t have two left feet, he has two feet that have left the building.
3:10 pm on April 9th, 2013
Golinka – you’re more than halfway through your wait until Storyteller is in recovery, and quiet waiting rooms are the best kind, if you have to be in one. Thanks for checking in. Positive thoughts coming your way, and his.
3:25 pm on April 9th, 2013
So we want to know what really bad word was. 🙂 we’re thinking it was not “carpola”.
3:30 pm on April 9th, 2013
We love technology. The surgical nurse just called from the operating room. She wanted me to know that the long part of the surgery is done, 3 vertebrae have been fixed. They now need to put him on his stomach in order to reach the last one, and they expect he will be on the table for another 2 1/2 hours.
AND she said that the doctors are pleased with everything they are seeing and fixing so far.
whew!
3:38 pm on April 9th, 2013
The feeling-good-in-no-time pills loosened Leonard dance bones up a bit. His two left feet have returned to the building and are clad in blue suede shews.
3:39 pm on April 9th, 2013
Great news!
But how did they do the others without having him on his stomach?
3:41 pm on April 9th, 2013
Waiting!…grump!…I hate Waiting!…{{Insert Barb’s Bad Word Here }}…sniff!
3:44 pm on April 9th, 2013
I am back at Sam’s house from ski country. I went to Petco and could only find the two shades of gray jacket and the size was the L-XL. It
doesn’t look like they carried the bigger size at all.
4:04 pm on April 9th, 2013
Amalia, Thanks for the update. It is always good when the doctors are pleased.
4:06 pm on April 9th, 2013
Ya know – when the nurse called from the operating room, I did think I heard faintly in the background :”One two three, step, kick, twirl, kick, step, step…” Hope it wasn’t the doctors.
Howlers – from what I understand, he is in a tilt-able frame that allows the surgeons to get to his spine from many different directions. They were most concerned about the vertebrae they needed to get to from his lower right side. He will actually have two scars from this operation. We are thinking about having Melanie’s OTAS tattoo zipper tabs at the end of each scar.
Rio – while you are waiting, why don’t you try to count the ways that Beau annoys you – that should pass quite a bit of time.
4:15 pm on April 9th, 2013
Molly’s mom’s trip to Petco was successful for me. I got something to wear when I take my walks outside to protect me from hawks. This should do it.
I can wear this for dancing with the giraffe, but I will have to take it off to become Dr. Sam.
4:17 pm on April 9th, 2013
Here’s the picture.

4:18 pm on April 9th, 2013
Ha ha. Look at my dirty feet from all that trekking around ski country.
4:20 pm on April 9th, 2013
OhMyDawg!…snort!heh!snort!…Sammie you look like a bottle of Pepto Bismal…snort!
4:23 pm on April 9th, 2013
Good news coming from A & L. Not too much longer now. And Thank Dawg that annoying young women is gone!
Rio, You could start with “How do I annoy you, let me count the ways…”
Oleys and T & G’s Mum, It was a really good all purpose swear word that she yelled at the top of her lungs. It starts with an F and can be a verb, noun, adverb or adjective, so I bet Bee loves it. Picture Barb in a business suit, with heels on, standing in the middle of this kid’s bed. Guess the ferret was supposed to be locked in the basement but had somehow escaped.
4:27 pm on April 9th, 2013
I’ve been thinking about the Royal Mum and the Storyteller all day, and will think about them all night.
4:34 pm on April 9th, 2013
Sam, we love your coat. I bet it would deter the hawks. We also struck out on the coats today. Evidently it is mostly small dogs that weat coats around here.
4:35 pm on April 9th, 2013
Barb!…Here was me thinking Barb had said, “Poop!”…heh!
4:42 pm on April 9th, 2013
MagPie, It’s actually a dress. It has ruffles around the bottom and a bow on each side with a real diamond in the middle.
4:45 pm on April 9th, 2013
OMD, real diamonds! You are such a princess!
4:57 pm on April 9th, 2013
T.C.: We loved your T.S. Eliot poem about Kat Names.
Heh. You are one initial away from being Almost Famous
.
Royal Mum: Not Too much longer. Good for the nurse keeping you informed.
And, Thank Dog that annoying woman is gone from the waiting room!
Rio: The woman at your Friend’s work whose doctor called at the very last minute to cancel? I’d say she is one Lucky Dawg. Wouldn’t want the likes of HIM operating on us anytime soon!
Tell your Friend to be very, Very Careful on the way home.
4:57 pm on April 9th, 2013
Barb used the word as a grammatical interjection.
4:58 pm on April 9th, 2013
No self respecting hawk would EVER attack something that looked like a pepto bismal bottle!
4:59 pm on April 9th, 2013
Bee -Barb used the word as a very naughty interjection
5:02 pm on April 9th, 2013
Dr. Sam! Aren’t you supposed to be Assisting in the O.R.?
You should be wearing scrubs not some frilly dress.
5:16 pm on April 9th, 2013
Youse guys are cracking me up!
5:19 pm on April 9th, 2013
Bers, I’m going to step in when he’s in the recovery room. I’ll change into scrubs.
5:27 pm on April 9th, 2013
Princess Sam: it looks like you are wearing a tutu. Make sure you clean your paws before entering the recovery room.
5:32 pm on April 9th, 2013
If it has been spoken on broadcast television, Barb’s utterance would have in legal parlance been known as a “fleeting expletive,” which has been discussed on more than one occasion by the United States Supreme Court in the past few years. Certainly better, however, than its kissing cousin as it were, known as the infamous “wardrobe malfunction”.
The news so far about Leonard has been quite encouraging, but still on pins and needles until he is completely out of surgery. I understand the dancing giraffe was seen recently taking samba lessons, so the footwork should be quite interesting.
5:32 pm on April 9th, 2013
Careful Sam, the hawks might be tempted to take you as an indigestion relief after dinner.
Amalia, Rick sends his best as well. He says that he did not have any dancing anything, during surgery, but they all showed up in the recovery room and cha-cha’d right along down the hall when he went back to his regular room. I must have just missed them, because I didn’t see a thing.
5:37 pm on April 9th, 2013
Princess: Be glad you’re a little girl or CHobbit wouldn’t have said tutu, she’d have said “four four”.
Mom always prefers the ever popular “SCAT” (same first letter & number of letters). She whispers it so often, even one of the peck of parrots says it just like her!
5:57 pm on April 9th, 2013
Sammie, make sure Belle Starr doesn’t see your dress. You know how much she loves pink, sparkly things!
Royal Mum: it is wonderful to hear such encouraging news. Maybe the Storyteller will see a little white dog in a pink dress dancing instead of giraffes.
6:19 pm on April 9th, 2013
Barb, we are howling here, picturing that scene. heh heh heh! That was a great story.
Kat called. She wants to know why 2 of her BFFs like to dress like girly-girls. Mama Meash definitely did not raise a girly girl. 🙂
6:28 pm on April 9th, 2013
HOH – one of the funniest things Mama ever heard was when she was staying with friends in Florida. They had an African Grey, a Malucan and an Indigo Macaw. One day while everyone was out playing tourist, the battery went down on their smoke detector, so it would beep every 30 seconds or so.
And for the longest time after that – so did all three parrots.
6:31 pm on April 9th, 2013
There was a bit of an incident when we, Leonard and I, got our zig and zags mixed up, but we made up for it with the dip. With Sammie prancing around in her little outfit has us, Smoochers and sugergical staff alike, have been discussing matching outfits. We all have different taste, but we all agree on one thing—no hospital gowns. They leave little to the imagination and don’t look all that great in a twirl.
6:37 pm on April 9th, 2013
Dancing Giraffe: Sounds like youse are Having A Wonderful Time.
The Raven would be proud.
6:55 pm on April 9th, 2013
T&G, Yep, those feathered guys (3 Amazons & 1 African Grey) love their sounds…microwave, phone, coffee pot. And the louder the better.
7:03 pm on April 9th, 2013
THE SURGERY IS OVER!
LEONARD IS FINE!
DOCTORS ARE PLEASED!
Golinka can’t see the keyboard right now, so she asked me to post.
THANK THE CREATOR!
7:06 pm on April 9th, 2013
Many Happy Tears Here.
DEAR CREATOR: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
7:13 pm on April 9th, 2013
Such happy news!
7:13 pm on April 9th, 2013
Barb had a client years ago who had a parrot that made the coffee pot sound as well as the sound of tapping the old coffee filter into the garbage and then the water refill. They are amazing!
Fleeting expletive is correct, Wookie’s Dad. It is not one that escapes Barb’s mouth very often.
We are thinking that Leonard is now done with surgery and in recovery. Happy Dancing Feet to Leonard and Amalia, and also a peaceful sleep tonight.
7:16 pm on April 9th, 2013
Happy!….Twirling! Spinning!…woooooOOOOOoooOOO!…And my friend made it home alive too…wheeze!…Oh happy day!..snort!
7:30 pm on April 9th, 2013
Tears of joy!!!! Thank you, dear creator for watching over Leonard.
Creator, I thank you also for bringing Rio’s friend home safely!!
7:44 pm on April 9th, 2013
Thank you thank you thank you.
Creator, please walk with Leonard thru his rehab.
Oh Happy Day!
7:46 pm on April 9th, 2013
And, Rio’s Friend is Home Safe & Sound too! WoooHooo!!!
7:50 pm on April 9th, 2013
Amen to all the joyous comments. Now comes Leonard’s hard work. Hope Amalia can get a good restful night’s sleep. All ya’lls thoughts and prayers are working! Oh, and thank dawg for Rio’s good news.
7:57 pm on April 9th, 2013
Thank you and Amen to all of the above.
7:59 pm on April 9th, 2013
Great news and a relief.
8:11 pm on April 9th, 2013
Thank you Creator for being with Leonard and Amalia during this time. We are so relieved to know he is now in recovery. Long, long day. Sleep well, and no dancing tonight!
8:14 pm on April 9th, 2013
Whew
I know it was a long day for Amalia. Thank you Creator for bringing Leonard safely through a successful surgery.
8:23 pm on April 9th, 2013
What wonderful news. Now to keep the quilt lightly over him as he sleeps and heals. And also over Amalia as she gets some well needed rest.
We are very grateful to the Creator also.
8:23 pm on April 9th, 2013
I am trying to send Amalia home to tell the Royals and the Herbs the good news, and then get to sleep.
Dr. Sam has this recovery thing under control.
Why, sure Mr. G., I’ll take a swing about the floor with you.
8:24 pm on April 9th, 2013
Whew, I know he has a long haul in front of him, but he’s been waiting forever to have this surgery.
Now hat her stitches are out Golika says that her scar does not look like something on Frankenstein’s monster. She thought it might because of the huge thread and stitching. I think she could have used Staff or Wookie’s Mom.
8:29 pm on April 9th, 2013
Burgers are cooking on the grill. Pop hooked up the patio speakers, and we are dancing with joy!
Oh, and Phillies are up 8-2!
8:36 pm on April 9th, 2013
Now we got Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris “Belle Starr”.
8:48 pm on April 9th, 2013
Names! I believe there is some lady outlaw named for me, but my two-legged says it is the other way around whatever that means. My Two-legged says you can’t have a band of outlaws without a Belle Starr—moi. I was born all by my lonesome a week before the Outlaw litter. There is also a song written about me, me, me.
8:51 pm on April 9th, 2013
Step!…My friend says she took a big step of faith tonight and ordered supplies from an online store that had the unique things she was looking for to enhance her quilling projects…wheeze!…She is always so afraid to order anything online…grunt!…But she broke down tonight and did it!…chuffle!…Now she will wait and see what happens…gurgle!
8:56 pm on April 9th, 2013
Sleep well Storyteller & Royal Mum.
A Good Night to Everyone – Bear
9:00 pm on April 9th, 2013
What great news about Leonard. We can all breathe again. Especially Amalia.
9:02 pm on April 9th, 2013
Belle Starr, that is the song we were listening to, from the Knopfler/Harris cd.
But now we are on to Levon Helm. Love him too.
9:09 pm on April 9th, 2013
Howlers: Levon Helm is not named after me. Try not to hold it against him.
9:19 pm on April 9th, 2013
Belle Star, you are correct. snicker
I’ve been sleeping all day. Thank goodness it’s time for bed.
9:21 pm on April 9th, 2013
Belly, we will try our best to look past that.
9:24 pm on April 9th, 2013
Spring!…Once spring arrives we might be moving…snort!…Someone here says between the misery at the busy-place and then the bitching and complaining here at home, she just can’t take it anymore…grunt!…This does not bode well for me and Beau…sniff!…If we move we will be left alone all day long with no one to feed us constantly…grump!…I don’t think this is going to happen. I think my friend is blowing smoke up our butts…sneeze!

Spinal-Tap!…I think the success of Leonard’s surgery is a sign that the Rockies will win big over the Giants tonight…snort!…Even if they win small, it will be a big thing…heh!heh!
9:50 pm on April 9th, 2013
Rio: What’s that? You’re moving to your cabins in our woods? My two-legged says she will leave the light on for you.
9:53 pm on April 9th, 2013
Bellie!…Now that would be something, wouldn’t it?…chuffle!…My friend says she is All-In for moving up north right now…snuffle!…She is pretty darned unhappy right now, let me tell youse…sniff!…I am sitting on her lap helping her feel better or putting her legs to sleep, not sure which will come first…heh!
10:03 pm on April 9th, 2013
Rio: If you’re doing it right, you will successfully help her feel better while putting her legs to sleep. It is mutli-tasking at its—no apostrophe needed—finest.

We’ve been out of the loop for the past week and just caught up. So happy to hear the good news about Leonard, the storyteller not the dog. Mom knows what it’s like to wait through a 8 or 9 hour surgery but Mom was told Dads’s would be around 4or5. Recovery and rehab won’t be easy but the quilt will be available for his comfort whenever he needs it.
We are also sorry to hear that HOH is minus one. Ella is in the best of company over the bridge.
Quick update on Dad. Two weeks ago, he had his second MRI follow up. The dr who read the results was not sure if the very small spot from the 1st post op MRI had changed (meaning a probable re-growth of cancer.). Dad’s dr decided to order a PET scan. That test is done with radioactive stuff that will adhere to cancer cells. That was done last week. This test showed NO return of cancer and the dr that read this test usually is very cautious about giving positive results. So we are feeling very lucky and thankful. He doesn’t go back for the next MRI for 3 months! We have been blessed.
