Good morning, everyone! Way to go chippies! Too bad that member of the nation within had such a scare, but glad she is safe!
    Have a miraculous Monday 🙂

Good morning all. That policeman gets today’s medal for saving that pup.
Cleaning out old computer files and came across one I want to share. I don’t know where it came from; I don’t think it was from the blog. If it did, I hope there isn’t anyone who will be upset by seeing it again. I think it’s worth a second look.

I hope she does find a home. I’m wondering how she got up on the highway divider.

    Good morning all.

    Hello All and Happy Monday–

What a pleasure to read about the little dog’s rescue (and how smart of her to make it to the median (unless some fool human actually left here there). Thank you CHP.
Also thank you Tyb, for the prayer. I read it to Ms. Pretty and Edgar, but they haven’t taken the hint so far.
HOH–What do you call a chicken crossing the road?
Everyone, have a wonderful day, in which miracle follows miracle, and wonders never cease (I’ll be back after I catch up on the weekend).

OK, somewhat caught up–a belated welcome back and Happy Mother’s Day to Golinka (belated Happy Mother’s Day to all, in fact).
Are there pictures of these puppies? (Or did I miss that on Saturday?)
    Rio–Snow? It’s May, right?

Poor little pup. Of course she was scared. And some #$%*+@ human probably left her there.

What’s up with the new Friend of Chet that says “Hi I’m Betty”. Are we missing a dog in that picture?

Nice weather today, upper 70’s to low 80’s, but 55 by Friday. We must be getting that cold front that was out west earlier. Boo hoo.

Good morning! Tyb, that prayer could have been written by me, because that is exactly how I sleep.
The dog in the middle of the highway could have been Zeus. He freaks out if the ‘rents leave him.

Nice story. I am so happy that little puppy is safe now. I hope there is a lovely forever home waiting for that puppy.

Tyb, That is a very nice prayer.

HOH, Do you have a whole book of those?

Kelly is coming up with flowers, and possibly little Joe for a play date. Joe weighed 12 lbs when they got him, already a 3-4 year old dog. Now he weighs 24 so he has doubled his weight. He looked like a Poodle-Yorkie cross. Now they are thinking possibly Poodle-Havenese cross. Will try to get some pics today.

  13. Thieves!
    11:52 am on May 12th, 2014

LBD—-little, black dog. That’s what Joe is pure and simple. We wonder if we are supposed to double in size too and have just been negligent in that duty.

  14. Barb & Maggie

    Poodle-Havanese, our mistake.

Tyb, thank you for the prayer.

I do not like that newcomer to our farm. He has picked fights with me me me, and now they make Kat stay indoors with him when they go to work. Kat is MY daughter, and I want her outside with me me me. I am on a hunger strike.

  17. Barb & Maggie
    12:44 pm on May 12th, 2014

Measka, It is hard sometimes to accept a newbie. Lucy was pretty easy, but then she is old and easy going. She does bark at me if I get too close to one of HER bones, but I just ignore her.

I think you are right, Joe is just a LBD and that is fine. His nickname at his house is Littl’Dog and that is very fitting.

  18. Macy the Min-pin
    12:46 pm on May 12th, 2014

Oh Meash, that will just make the ‘rents worry. It sounds like Kat is being employed to handle Zeus’ transition into the family. Perhaps you can take up a new hobby, find new interests, stalk new prey while you have a little “me” time.

  19. Meashka
    12:55 pm on May 12th, 2014

The newcomer thinks that everything on this farm is his, even whatever he decided to chase under the tree yesterday. We have always hunted as a pack here. Why doesn’t he understand that? My beautiful face looks like it went thru a war zone, because he picked fights with me three times so far. Those balls in the yard? They were all mine!

Meashka, You can come live with me. I wouldn’t treat you the way the Blockhead is. I share and could care less if you wanted to lead the hunt.
My mom will tell you that what I say is the truth.

Dima always knew I was in charge, just as I always knew Sasha was in charge (after she kicked my butt). I am willing to let this dude be in charge. But for some reason, he still sees me as a threat. Mom managed to get him under control very well in the house, and at dinner time, but outside everything should be fair “game”. I was just trying to help. It’s what I do. Mom does not know how/if she can help with this lesson.

Meashka–I am sure he will eventually come to his senses (perhaps with some help from you, perhaps not). Meanwhile remember that the problem is his, not yours. (Also, everyone loves you.) Please try and eat a little something or we will all worry.
HOH–The answer we were looking for was “poultry in motion”, but yours was also inspired.
I did locate the picture of Kirby’s tail, which looks fine to me and not evil at all–kind of like a Lhasa tail in fact.
The picture of Basil with the lilys is just perfect.

Staff, our Mr. Carrot could not have come at a better time. We have been without power for over 30 minutes, and he is helping us not freak out in the dark. Thanks guys. We seem to be under an “all clear” now regarding a tornado. The sirens were going but nothing happened here. We’re now under a thunderstorm watch.

Diane C: The simple explanation of the difference is that a cyclone forms over water and a tornado forms over land.

Loulou and I had a terrible day here. The temperature was in the 80s instead of the 50s which we were used to. We went for a walk and both of us suffered. The little furball being young is fine by now, just tired. I still feel like I have been hit by a truck. Tomorrow I will post the video and the instructions for using the carrots. Just as Loulou would want me to do. She’s very good with this.
