Good morning all. I was pretending I was a cat this morning and caught a baby bird, a sparrow I think. I dropped it right away when Barb yelled “Leave It!”, but I think it died of shock. Barb put it down outside the fence, but it didn’t recover. I feel bad.

Those are great pictures. Scary as all get out, but excellent.
Tummies were the beginning of the day. Zoë let Patsy in my room after her breakfast (complete with garlic). When she heard me waking up, she climbed on the bed and it was kisses and tummies. Nothing like garlic!
Have not been feeling tip top. Turns out my ulcer is back. Hmmm, stress? What stress? Upped the meds. That should work.

Rio, yes your state is on fire and I agree with you about why be a tourist there right now. The same is true of parts of NM. Why be a tourist when you will be gassed by wildfire smoke and won’t be able to see any of the Rocky Mountains because they are enveloped in smoke from the fires.
Our Governor does the same thing.
Huge tents that sell fireworks have sprouted up all over our state. The governor wants the power to ban firworks state wide when we have drought conditions, but the legislature won’t pass that bill. I would say that our legislature has the collective IQ of a goldfish, and they do, but they have been bought off by the fireworks lobby.

That’s terrible about the fire. I think fireworks are banned by law in Michigan except that local governments can put on a display on July 4.

Mr Staff makes a wonderful Key lime pie. My brother the Turtleman is good with fruit pies. I do a great Sweet Potato/Pumkin pie. that is about it.

Oh, and BSD said they would be back by Friday evening.
I have been working on moving the host for YSAS website for the past 3 days. Finally got it done when I discover that Yahoo has to change ONE thing. Except they won’t let me change that information because they don’t think he exists. Even though he’s been paying them for over 2 years. I am 8 minutes into a 25 minute phone hold.
I am NOT pleased.

Mom and I can make any kind of “virtual” pie you want. Cranberry pecan with gluten free crust? No problem. Canadian gooseberry with fresh cream? Got it. Pug lip Crumble? If you want it we can do it.

Yup! Bella, do you have any of your winter gear on?
Next thing on list done. Our go-to guy for house repairs, Steve, came by and figured out what is going to be needed to fix our 200 year old house so that he can paint it.
Not as bad as we thought. Several windows have to be replaced but that’s okay. Some boards and fixing an area where two roof lines meet and we get ice dams. They are going to fix on and off for the next month and then paint. Should be done by the middle of September.

Rio – Kirby’s mom said something about trying to go to Atlanta a lot of posts ago. It’s very cool that she was able to get there to meet Bella. Safe journey to both of them as they move on as well as safe journey to all the east coasters. (that’s you, Little Sammie…)
It’s supposed to be over 100 here tomorrow. I’m glad I’m an indoor kat.

We have been busy and off the blog most of the day.
Good news! We have a good solid offer on the house, from a good buyer who loves Barb’s decorating and everything about the place. We were presented with the offer this afternoon, and will be countering tomorrow morning. Ww are very close price wise, and everything should be fine. She wants to close first of August, but we are requesting mid August. We are excited to say the least!

Update from Atlanta: After a secret ballot, we have determined that both of us stopped being witty and clever early this afternoon and therefore have nothi funny to say.
We toured the Coca Cola plant, walked through te Olympic park, spent an hour chit chatting in the hotel lobby and lost track of time and are now sitting down to dinner.
KirbyT did not make the trip, but I can report his mom has the most beautiful skin.
Rio: We made a brief mention about the great Atlanta Summit, but plans were not able to be solidified until Monday. Can you believe she drove all that way..?

I don’t know how many times KirbyT’s mom and I said good-bye. I think it was more than two, but why bother counting any higher. We would bid farewell and anther fifteen minutes would pass. Again and again we repeated the routine, but there was much to say and learn about her and KTP and so little time. It was after midnight when the good-bye finally stuck. I am so glad she made the drive. It was a treat spending time with her. Once we started talking it was hard to stop.
We read the blog a couple of times during our visit and saw Barb’s good news! Excellent!
You would think when my wake up time rang a couple hours after we said good-bye I would have a hard time getting out of bed. Not so. Today brings with it another treat of the meeting Spence and KTP’s mom variety. At the thought of meeting even more Plunderers and the extended Plundering family, I sprang out of bed eager to ready myself for the day. In just a couple of hours I will be picke up at the airport by Stinky Mama and Melanie. Woohoo!
