8 Ball
Uh-oh. We’re still behind the 8 ball in our holiday shopping. We did pick up some treats for Iggy.

Good for you Chet and Bernie!
Now Chet, don't go sniffing around the tree or shaking presents to find out what's in them.
We put a puppy fence across the back part of the living room where the tree is because puppies are starting to go home today. We always cry. But, as the new owners get the papers signed, we have the pup come out and play in the living room with them.
Now there is also a sofa in that area. A sofa well known for the bed of Bess the matriarch of our pack. This morning the fence was completely flat and Bess was sleeping on the sofa.
Have to rethink the fence!

It's always important to remember your friend for Christmas. I gave my favorite ball to the new puppy next door – its soft and squeaks – easier for him to catch and chew! Have a Merry Christmas Chet! I'm dreaming of roast beef bones for Christmas!

Hi Chet! We're way behind too. With wrapping, mostly, but until I get everything out to see what we have, I won't know how much I have left to do… Uh-oh.
Anyway, we've been really busy here. Wojo has a foster friend who's come to stay with us for a while. His name's Henry, and he's got the prettiest, saddest looking eyes. He's a black lab/hound mix, and so sweet! He and Wojo are playing in the back yard now– six inches of snow is fun to roll in, I guess, 'cause they're both doing it a lot. They're soaking wet when they come in!

Chet, I agree with Debbie. Glad Iggy is getting some presents. Lots of dog and cat toys under the tree this year..well, I really don't have a tree. We'll be nominating some unsuspecting house plant to stand in as a tree, as we do most years. Anyway, Mozart, the big kitty, will not be coming over for Christmas, but he'll have lots of toys to play with when his Mom gets back home. Gizmo is getting soft squeakers, since he doesn't have a lot of teeth. Toothsome Ms. Abby is getting tennis balls with very loud squeakers…her fav.
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year (and all other holidays that apply) to everyone. Be safe, healthy and happy. Play in the snow, nap on the sofa, chase the perps and snap that bacon off the counter!!

Is that what the nation is celebrating? Festivus? Wow, it must be great, judging by the dog smiles.

Note to Rebecca Rice. Don't you know the best part of snow is doggie snow angels! I love doing it myself. Way to go, Wojo and Henry. And Merry Christmas to all. Signing off here from Chevy Chase, your pal Wookie.
