Good morning, everyone! Boomers and RAIN started here at 1:47 a.m. Last boomer was at 7:17 but it is still raining. Welcome to lots of new friends. So grey here it doesn’t look like day.
Monday, monday, have a re-MARK-able Monday.
8:55 am on August 18th, 2014
It’s amazing how new and shiny the 1962 Porsche looks.
Good morning all.
8:57 am on August 18th, 2014
Good morning HOH and all. Off to the first day of 4 at the office.
Also very gray and overcast here. Rain possible later.
Thinking of Boobear’s folks and ML’s mom and also A & L at the shew this week.
Have a good day everyone.
9:00 am on August 18th, 2014
Oh, and a great picture of Spence and Sadie. I am not sure Bernie’s and Chet’s Porsche looks quite so new and shiny.
9:03 am on August 18th, 2014
Good morning! B&M, we were about to post the same thing: Bernie’s Porsche, while looking similar, is not nearly so shiny, or even just one color. Heh!
10:38 am on August 18th, 2014
A favorite photo of ours from the tour. 😉
T&G: One more day of setup then let the really big shew begin!
Heh, heh. Great sign-off last night, Staff.
Good morning to all and especially to Rose, who we hope is lurking out there.
10:40 am on August 18th, 2014
Wow!…That Porsche seems to fit Spencer just right…heh!heh!
11:03 am on August 18th, 2014
We hope that this what A&L are like after this really BIG shew.
11:13 am on August 18th, 2014
HOunds: Youse were awakened at an UnDogly Hour by Boomers, we by
the insistent screeching on our indoor/outdoor temperature gauge.
Apparently Someone Here had inadvertently set the alarm when replacing the batteries. Gah.
B! Help! Awakened or Awoken or ???
Rio: Like a Glove…that Shiny Red Porsche fits OFA like it was made for him.
What a Great Photo of him and Sadie!
11:16 am on August 18th, 2014
BSD, good question to the all knowing (of the language anyway) HRH B:)
11:17 am on August 18th, 2014
HOH: Paws crossed the Corgis have that very en vogue Peacock look after the show ^..^
12:03 pm on August 18th, 2014
Jennie and Perry were generous and brave to allow Spence (and Sadie) into that beautiful ’62 Porsche, given his habit of wrecking them (the Porsches not the people). He does look as happy as can be in that little red Porsche.
I’m off for an early morning chiropractic appointment. Crack! Ouch!
12:17 pm on August 18th, 2014
Someone, bless their hearts, has taken very good care of that Porsche. Spence and Sadie look very happy in it. I would look very happy in it.
12:28 pm on August 18th, 2014
Red!…I could see myself in that there little bitty car…snort!…A bowl of beer and a platter of hot-wings would make it even better!…chuffle!burp!
12:28 pm on August 18th, 2014
Bear: Either “awakened” or “awoken” is correct. Both are past participles of “awake.” I’d use “awoken” but that’s because I’m accustomed to a northern dialect. According to the dictionary, northern dialects change the vowel (for example, the past tense of “dive” becomes “dove”) and a southern dialect prefers to add “ed” (for example the past tense of “dive” is “dived”).
12:34 pm on August 18th, 2014
Rio, beer and hot wings in that Porsche…NOT!
12:43 pm on August 18th, 2014
Riö! NO!
12:48 pm on August 18th, 2014
B: As always, Thank You for your Valued input. Perhaps I have a touch of the South (Paw) in me?
1:02 pm on August 18th, 2014
Sputter!…spit!
1:54 pm on August 18th, 2014
Rio, We can stop at scenic overlooks and have beer and hot wings at a picnic table.
1:57 pm on August 18th, 2014
Siber-H: Be sure and bring some wipes along for those Messy Paws!
1:58 pm on August 18th, 2014
and napkins and bibs.
2:20 pm on August 18th, 2014
I just received a lovely package from AJ and Snowhook: A Snowhook tote bag and a used booty (I’m sure it’s one of Charlie’s!). Go Snowhook!
2:39 pm on August 18th, 2014
B: A Booty of Charlie’s! Wonder where the other one is? Out on the Trail? Or under your Rocking Chair?
2:45 pm on August 18th, 2014
This selfie was on the internet. That is one expressive Siber. Notice the leash on the dog while in the car.

2:45 pm on August 18th, 2014
WE too got a package from Snowhook with another tote but we think our used booty came from Floyd…or maybe Lefty…or maybe??? Doesn’t matter, we are sooooo glad to have it and now have it displayed 🙂 P.S. We have all sniffed and approved…GO SNOWHOOK.
2:57 pm on August 18th, 2014
Our Buddy is on the right. Sniff
3:00 pm on August 18th, 2014
Bear: The other booty is on the trail under the Northern Lights.
That siber has white ears on the inside and dark on the outside.
3:04 pm on August 18th, 2014
Mom is afraid that if we had a pool, this is what would happen…

So we’ll just stick with our little sushi pond.
3:12 pm on August 18th, 2014
C Hobbit, That is so cute. I am laughing.
I also wear a leash in the car…one that looks just like that guys.
HOH, The bear looks like he is planning on staying awhile. He is welcome to it.
3:12 pm on August 18th, 2014
Photo-shopped!…Totally!…grunt!
3:38 pm on August 18th, 2014
Rio: the SiberH or the Bear?
HOunds: Bears Welcome Here.
4:13 pm on August 18th, 2014
Bear!…SiberH!
4:17 pm on August 18th, 2014
AS long as mom knows the visitors, they are welcome. But, remember, Pookey lost a leg but beat the rackety-coon. Lucy catches sushi, snakes, skinks, frogs and birds. Darah just bastes things and Blondie, well, she hasn’t found her niche yet.
4:19 pm on August 18th, 2014
Mmmm?
4:23 pm on August 18th, 2014
Rio is correct, I have seen that same exact picture of the Siber before…maybe in those pictures of dogs people send around the internet.
4:32 pm on August 18th, 2014
There was excitement at the farm today. A lady had posted on Freecycle that she wanted Monarchs or milkweed seeds. Well I wasn’t going to give up some of my little caterpillars but I sent her seeds.
Then this last week every time I went to gather milkweed for the caterpillars I already had I would find more caterpillars. One day I found 12! Since I already had 25 that was a few too many!
Today she came to visit (with her 4 girls aged from 9 down to 2) My goodness they were nonstop! I am not used to plural numbers of kids. One, maybe two, but 4 is WOW.
They were interested in the caterpillars but wanted to ‘hold’ them. Nope they didn’t get to hold them. But they got to let a butterfly that hatched out this morning “hold” them.
However the most excitement were the toads and frogs that were out in the grass because of the 1 inch of rain we got last night. One little girl named her toad something that sounded like Jacob and cried her little heart out when he escaped. But then she found him again, and again, and again. Jacob liked her so much he kept coming back…snicker. she was really sad when she had to leave him behind. She cried and said she didn’t get a chance to say “Goodbye”
They left with 8 of my caterpillars and one that they found all by themselves when we were out picking milkweed for them to take home. She also took home a milkweed plant. Heh. Good luck with that.
I need a nap.
4:38 pm on August 18th, 2014
Staff, ain’t kids grand? Parboiled, sautéed, b-b-qed, broasted, grilled or??? Anyway, they are a handful!
5:03 pm on August 18th, 2014
Staff: 4 kids all at once? Take 2 naps!
The chiropractor didn’t hurt me too much. She gave me an easy exercise to do several times a day until the next appointment which is on Thursday.
HOH: What is that?
5:25 pm on August 18th, 2014
Dawson, stuffed possum! (almost a rhyme)
5:27 pm on August 18th, 2014
Thank you, AJ. We just know that Clyde wore this bootie.
5:39 pm on August 18th, 2014
AJ and Pixie, it really doesn’t matter who wore or didn’t wore the booties, even if it was on a tail, we’d love it 🙂 🙂 🙂
6:21 pm on August 18th, 2014
To AJ, the Giant and Rebecca, the Pixie.
GO SNOWHOOK!!!
6:27 pm on August 18th, 2014
Onward Snowhook.
thank you!
6:48 pm on August 18th, 2014
Thank you Snowhook, for the surprise package I received when I got home. The bootie would fit on Lucy for her morning walks, but I am going to save it instead. Thank you!
7:00 pm on August 18th, 2014
Greetings all. We love the bear in the pool – no one is going to ask him to get out, that’s for sure.
Today was chaos day at the show grounds. We got there pretty early, and parked in one of the lots. We had unloaded everything yesterday, so we didn’t need to drive the van in today. We just kept working away setting up while security guards roamed the corriders demanding to know whose vehicles were in the loading zones. Ahh – the do’s and dont’s of show business.
Thanks for all the good wishes. We are keeping all paws crossed for a great show. However, we do think it would be kind of hard for the Corgis to do the peacock thing – not much tail there to work with. But they do do a great Happy Corgi Dance – we would be happy to settle for that.
7:17 pm on August 18th, 2014
AJ, thank you so much for the tote and the bootie! Not worried about who wore it ( although Jem is a personal favorite)! Just love having a bootie worn by a Snowhook dog!
Thank you! Go Snowhook!
7:18 pm on August 18th, 2014
AJ & Rebecca: Please check your SDD.
7:21 pm on August 18th, 2014
B&M: Your 3 days a week now turning into 4…making the “part-time” job look like a regular job…what’s up with that?
7:47 pm on August 18th, 2014
Our Snowhook people are more special every day. AJ and Pixie, know y’all are loved and we enjoy supporting the “last great race” any way we can.

Hey guys, Mr.Staff just told me about a problem Microsoft is having with it’s latest updates. It is recommending you uninstall them until they get the bugs fixed.
http://www.pcworld.com/article/2465631/microsoft-pulls-august-windows-update-after-crashes.html
I am on my windows 7 computer and had two of the 4 so I uninstalled them just now. I haven’t been on the little Surface 8.1 very much and will check on it later
8:12 pm on August 18th, 2014
Masquers, Usually I just work on Tuesday and Thursday, 14 hours per week. I agreed to fill in Mon. and Wed. this week because the other assistant is getting her kids ready to go back to school. It’s not a regular thing, and since I have the 2nd half of my property taxes due Sept. 4th, I am happy to earn some extra.
8:16 pm on August 18th, 2014
Maggie pie, please tell Barb she is a really good lady 🙂
8:22 pm on August 18th, 2014
Rented a movie from Netflix, We are the Millers. I watched about 15 minutes of it and turned it off, which I never do. Extremely foul language and disgusting. Believe me, I am not a prude, but I couldn’t believe the dialogue. Vulgar and lewd!
8:23 pm on August 18th, 2014
And she’s slim and trim too!
8:27 pm on August 18th, 2014
(Our comment was in response to HOH – not about the movie)
8:42 pm on August 18th, 2014
T & G, LOL. I bet you were really talking about Jennifer Aniston.
8:43 pm on August 18th, 2014
Tote!…Wow!Wow!Wow!…I got a Snowhook Tote and an ole bootie someone else has worn…sniff!…I will let my friend have that…heh!…The Snowhook tote will be perfect for my friend to carry me around in. Now I won’t have to walk on the walks anymore. What a thoughtful gift…chuffle!…Thank you Snowhook! Thanks for the special note from the Giant. I’m sure it will be in a safe place and treasured always somewhere in my warm soft bed…snort!!
9:40 pm on August 18th, 2014
With last night’s storm, mom got about 3 hours of sleep and had been a grumpy Gus all day. She is talking about going to bed before the storms start again so that means we will go and hold her down. Nighty hight all.
9:42 pm on August 18th, 2014
Good night, HOH. We are thinking along the same lines. We may have storms during the night, so going to hit the hay early.
Nighty noodles.
9:47 pm on August 18th, 2014
We had storms last night also. Mr.Staff hid the vans in the Quonset. .75 inch of rain. We needed it.
10:29 pm on August 18th, 2014
Baseball!…If no one else posts anything interesting in the next few minutes…heh!…I am going to bombard youse all with Todd Helton’s retirement photos – the ones my friend was able to get while witnessing it first paw….chuffle!

SiberH!…Drew Goodman was Master of Ceremonies. He is a big man in a small suit…snort!…We here love the guy!
10:56 pm on August 18th, 2014
Speakers!…Much to my friend’s surprise one of her very favorite players, Brad Hawpe, was there to speak about Todd…snorkel!…Apparently he and Todd had become very good pals over the few years Brad played with the Rockies…snort!…He had some really funny stories to tell about Todd, but the Respect went very deep indeed…chuffle!snort!…It was sooo good to see him again – and in person!
11:01 pm on August 18th, 2014
Drew!…He said some more stuff and then introduced Tierney Faith, Todd’s oldest daughter, who is all of 10 or 12. She brought the house down…snort!…As much as Todd is uncomfortable talking in front of people, this little girl had everyone in her little paws. She is something!…heh!…Here is a photo of the whole family coming out after being introduced by Drew…snort!
11:04 pm on August 18th, 2014
I was thinking that Corgis would have a difficult time with the peacock thing too.
I got nothing to say, so here’s a picture instead.
nighty nite
11:06 pm on August 18th, 2014
Todd!…After a very incredible video of Todd at the ballpark, all alone, remembering special things…sob!sob!sob!…Then the poor guy had to actually get up and speak in front of thousands of adoring fans…heh!…He was well composed and did a great job…wheeze!
11:10 pm on August 18th, 2014
Sweet!…Funny!…Yet a very tough guy…sniffle!…How will our team do anything without him?…gasp!…It’s all starting to hit me now…NOOOO!

ML…Nice. Well planned…grump!
11:14 pm on August 18th, 2014

11:17 pm on August 18th, 2014
Soon!…The sun came out again and here is a shot of how great the seats my friend had…wheeze!…Lucky dog!..snort!..I actually think in her spot she seemed even closer…heh!
11:20 pm on August 18th, 2014
Nolan!…Here is a final (maybe) shot of Nolan Arenado…snort!…He is in his second season and has all the makings of a super-star…chuffle!….We here love this guy! A one time shot of him standing still!…heh!heh!
11:22 pm on August 18th, 2014
Rio, Those are great pictures! Thank You!! It was a special day for Helton. I think the Rockies and the fans did a good job of showing their appreciation.
First Base at Coors Field will never be the same.
sob, sob, sob
I remember Brad Hawpe.

Night All
